Hi guys,

I own both a cm9 and a pm9. i bought the pm9 (used) from a guy today.
Tonight, while comparing the two pistols, I noticed that at the very rear of the cm9 the receiver and the slide meld perfectly and fit flush.

When i run my finger from the bottom of the rear of the receiver upwards to the slide, it's smooth. (i hope you can picture what i'm trying to describe).

But when i do the same with the pm9, I notice the slide does not sit back quite far enough on the receiver to be flush with it at the rear.

I can see and feel that the two don't come together at this spot like the cm9 does. The "upward projections" at the very rear of the receiver extend about 1/16-1/8" behind the receiver.

I hope yu guys have an idea of what is causing this and how to fix it. I don't want to shoot the pm9 until I know what is going on with it.

Thanks.

I think that is called slide overlap which just means the two don't mate up perfectly. As far as I know it is just unsightly & shoo not impede function. As long as your gun shoots reliably no worries.

Empty chamber. Pull trigger. Does it get better?

You should post a pic. of it if you can.

My CW9 was fine, but my CM9 had a little frame to slide mismatch at the rear where/like I think you are describing.
I just lightly filed the frame down flush then smoothed and blended in with fine steel wool. Now it fits perfect. It was just a cosmetic issue that bothered me, not functional.

Edit: I seen your other post and pics @THR. That looks like a lot of mismatch to me, much, much more them what I fixed on mine.
