G42 and R51 problematic?

IMHO the author of that diatribe has an axe to grind against the Glock. comparing it to the massively problematic R51 is idiocy. My brother in laws G42 has been flawless thru 500 rounds. My sons has been flawless thru 250 rounds so far. I know many folks with the G42 and none have had the issues he described. Thanks for posting the link wyntrout.

Trolling anything is common today. I have and like my 42. I experienced issues with it and called Glock. They sent me a shipping label. the same day. No hassles. 2 weeks later and with some corrections, they're shipping it back. I don't expect a new gun to always be perfect. What I do expect from Glock, Kahr, or any other manufacture, is that they fix it. Which in my experience, is always the case. Good communication and patience is the key, and not acting like a whiny little baby.

I bought a G42 at the end of January. It flawless shot WWB, PPU, American Eagle, Aguila HP, Speer Gold Dots. It did not like Rem UMC in the bulk yellow box.

The gun is a very soft shooter, combat accurate, but mine needs a trigger job. She still comes in a t 9# after 450 rounds. Its at Glock now.

I can recommend the gun to anyone. It's light and slim.

I had problems with my G42 and took it back to trade for something else. Mostly FTEs. My LGS took care of me. I didn't give Glock a chance to fix it... I needed a small package now, that worked now. The Kahr I got fulfilled that role. I like my Glocks and liked how the 42 shot, it just wouldn't run for me.

Glock returned my 42 and it performed flawlessly even with the ammo that remained from when it had the issues. Comparing Glock's to Remington's current difficulties with the R51 is a fiction promoted by the usual assortment of Glock Haters. At this point I trust Glock as much as I trust Kahr to ultimately provide me with a reliable pistol.

I suspect the press around the 42 issues has more to do with it being relatively uncommon for Glocks to have functional issues out of the box. This specific model seems to have been more problematic than is typical with new models from the company.

The R51 on the other hand seems to be more inherently flawed.
