Kahr now has a supply of CW series night sights by Trijicon. I have been waiting months for these. I just got mine in the mail today. Go and get them while they are still available.
Dawson Precision has Trijicon available as well. I just installed a front only on my CW45. It's a stake on model and comes with a punch to stake it and instructions.

Can you send your slide to Kahr and have them install the sights?

Yes you can. I don't know the price.
Got a pkg Thursday of CW9 sights from Kahr. Don't have a CW but the order showed someone had ordered them in March. Wow, can't imagine waiting that long. Returned them for one of you guys waiting. They are on every one of my 3 Kahrs and both Glocks. Goes to show Kahr is trying to get them out. Even for those you didn't order them.

Tack,
I E'd KAHR last week and was told " $40 to install,$25
ship it back , plus cost of the sights" She may have thought
I was sending the whole gun, I asked about just sending the
slide. You said you just got some from Dawson? You had
to stake them in? I just called KAHR and the tech said the
front had a screw like the ones for the Glk aftermarkets. Both
are Trijicon. Why the differance? Thank you

The front sight uses a screw with Loctite. You have to break off the original, plastic sight.
For the rear sight, you will need a sight pusher to remove the old one and install the new one.
The Trijicons are a three-dot system, which I prefer to the "dot the I" system the gun came with.

that's how I handled mine back in February. I figured that with their work 100% guaranteed, and my shade tree attempt would most likely break a trit tube, it was good insurance. Not to mention the slide came back with the sights aligned spot on (and no marring of the slide). I sent the slide only in a chaepo US Mail priority box, but Kahr's policy on return shipping is common carrier, insured, signature required.... thus the crazy high shipping cost.
The best part was that the sights came back perfectly aligned...."factory perfect":)

I ordered a fiber optic front sight from Dawson for my CW9 and it took all of about 5 minutes to install. The sight came with a staking tool and instructions. The whole process was easy and I didn't have to send it anywhere. The rear sight I ordered came with a delrin ended drift which made removal of the factory sight and installing the new one very easy too. I wouldn't think the Trijicon sights would be any harder to install, as long as you are careful and go slowly. The only other thing you need is a small brass hammer and some duct tape.

8th SPS I don't know why they make the two versions, perhaps the stake on one I received is an older version from Dawson.
Perhaps they changed to the screw type to make installation easier.
The stake on sight from Dawson was $56.25 including shipping. It includes a stake on tool and instructions. It's an easy install if you go that route.
I'm a former Security and LE as well. PM or Email me sometime.
