I've read here about problems with seven round magazines. Is there a fix? I recently bought a CM9 and so far put a Pachmayr grip on it and Pierce ext on the standard magazine. I need a second magazine, I'd like one with 7 rounds.
Thanks, Jim

I've never had a magazine problem with my Kahrs. I have two 7 round mags I use with my CM9, one with the pinky extension, and they've probably been used for around 150 rounds each total so far. That is not a lot, so let's see what the more active shooters have to say.

8 round mags work for me for 5 years now as back up mag. I only carry with a stock 6 rounder.

i probably have 6 7 round mags and all give trouble every now and then. i only use them for practice. the pinky ext. seems to aggravate the problem. it cocks the mag in magwell. i have better luck with 8 shot but only carry with 6

I only use 6 rounders in my PM9...
Never had an issue with my PM9.
Haven't tried a 7 rounder in the CM yet...

I only use 6 rounders in my PMJ9 but I have that butt ugl 7 rounder that came with the gun and Ihave used it a few times in the 5+ years I have owned my PMJ9, It worked, but I hate the looks of that magazine and it is sumin tha tI have no desire to use again. I bought my MJ9 for maximu concealability, and if I needed that extra round, I proalby wold have jst bought the Cw and been satisfied. by and large I do think the 7 rounder mag willdo OK in the cm and PM kahrs but I just ave zero use for mine..Just sayin

The only thing I like the longer mags for is they make it a bit easier to control the mag while making a quick mag swap. Sure as heck don't want to carry with anything but the stock mag.

Since the original post I bought a 7 rd mag and made a range trip. Both mags function well with ball ammo which I intend to use as a carry round. Thanks for all responses. I'm gonna back pocket carry it, no holster, using this gizmo. Yeah I know it's backwards, you get the idea.

Well, I wish you luck.............carrying it without a holster, and using ball ammo. Personally, I would never do either, but, your choice.:o

I know it sounds risky. I did so however for years using a G26 and a similar device.

Using a holster in my opinion would be much safer and faster. But again, that's just my opinion. You do what you want.
