Colt 1908 vs. p series

I am a fan of the guns of old. The Colt 1908 and Mauser Hsc for example. Back in that time, these were the high quality, concealed carry and backup guns of those in the know. I know there were others but these two pistols always seem to stand out.
How spoiled are we to day with all the choices available . I think 80 years from now the Khar line of pistols like p and pm series will be in the same category.
