As impressed as I would love to be over that video I just can't help but think it was staged.

Nothing against the dog in the least.

Probably so, but it's still a good trick. I am amazed how quickly labs pick things up. We babysit a chocolate named Reese often on weekends. Friday or Saturday he's delighted to hop in the car and go anywhere such as swimming in the pond. Come Sunday, no way. He has figured out that Sunday is the day we take him back to Boston, and he just becomes dead weight in the driveway.

I'd be the same way if someone were taking me to Boston

The wife and I had a black lab named Rascal for 14 years. Came from great lines. That dog listened like no other. He's been gone for 4 years now, but the wife still cries.

Funny how attached you can get to a pet....We lost our black lab chow mix back in 2006 when our house burned to the ground....Ole Bo was real scared of thunder and he would wedge his big ars 75 lb body under our bed until the storm was over and thats where the Firefighters said they found him when they were able to get inside to look around.....Thank God my son heard something popping in the garage right before he was getting in the shower that day or he might not have gotten out as it was a very hot, fast moving fire....

Ironically the cause of the fire turned out to be the underground electric dog fence we had installed because Bo liked to wonder over to a neighbors house and play with their Great Dane so we figured it would keep him in the yard which it did but not exactly how we had it planned....If you have one of these types of dog fences I would highly suggest having it removed...The Fire Captain told us he had seen several fires started by the things because the transformer will sometimes overheat and smolder a while then burst into flames which is exactly what happened to us....

We haven't had another dog since Bo died but my daughter who lives in Florida is coming home for Mothers day and bringing our 1 year old grand dog Doberman horse puppy for us to play with and we plan to make her as rotton as possible for the next few days...

I always wanted a yeller. Even was promised a yeller out of two puppy batches but ended up with a black every time. Still the best dogs. Wicked smart, had one still a pup when she got hit by a car. Sad day that one.

Other two made it to ripe ole age. Good dogs.

Just got offered a year old Catahoula mix today but I'm gonna pass. Still dogless after Odie the Wonder Beagle passed on. Not sure what we'll get next. This can be translated into I haven't been told what we'll be getting next.

Thought about a miniature Schnauzer. Friend over at vacation lake has one, we're pals. His isn't hyper like most I've seen.

Love to have a Rotty like BearDog but not sure I want a dog I can put a saddle on. Already got 2 horses to feed.

If I didn't have Brittanys I would have Labs. Both are great people and family dogs and excellent at what they were bred for.

Incredibly sad to learn of Bo's demise. We once went 6 years without a pup after the traumatic loss of our White Shepherd, Shelby.

Now we have three big 'uns.

Our Cane Corso is the dutiful guardian and boss of the others. He's fearless and serious but lovingly accepts all who we do. Our Shiloh Shepherd is our eager playmate and watchdog. His level of alertness is uncanny. First to alert, every single time.

But Carly, our Chocolate Lab, is the heart of our pack. Smart and abundantly loving and gentle. She provides a calm balance for the boys.
