Took my MK40 Elite to the range today for its first outing. Put 100 rounds through it from about 20 feet. Had one FTE on round 29 and one FTE on round 61. I know both were FTE's were my fault. My purpose today was only to get some rounds through the gun and I was getting a little lax with my wrist on those rounds.

For rounds 0-90 I was just popping them off at less than a second between rounds to get the job done. On the final 10 rounds I slowed down a little bit to check accuracy, maybe two seconds between rounds. The little booger was a bit warm when I finished.

Two things I learned:
-the trigger pull takes some getting used to.
-I need to do a little mowing so I can find the brass when I am done.

All in all, you can color me tickled pink.

I'd say your getting used to the trigger just fine.

You're getting there! The MK40 can be very accurate for such a small pistol, even smaller than my PM9. That's why I keep advocating for an MK45.

I don't have the elite just the mk40 and it sure is a sweet shooter, not sure mechanically what the differences between a brand new mk40 and an elite, but I can't see how they can make mine any better then it is

Mechanically:
The magazine well is beveled for easier magazine reloading. The feed ramp on the barrel is polished to a high luster to insure reliable feeding with all types of ammo.

Not a big difference really.
