I know I know cheap Saturday night special, but it was given to me when my grandfather passed recently. Along with that there was an old ruger mark that after some tlc looks like new. I just wanted to post mostly to find out if any of you have had one of these little .25's and your opinion.

Any undocumented one is great.
First field strip an clean them both. Test your raven with round nose ammo. You can shoot through a 2x4 with it I bet.
If it goes bang, it will be a deterrent.
Made of Zamak!!!!
They are good for the shot in the chamber.....thats about it.

I don't plan on ever carrying I'll stick to my kahr or Walther for that, I think it's more of a curiosity to me than anything. I like how everything's chromed or nickel plated on it, stays clean. Hopefully in the next week I'll get the chance to take them both out for a test drive. Never had a desire for a ruger mark but I'm surely not going to turn it away. Looked fairly rough at first but after a little with with some hoppes and swearing at its breakdown it's either put together better then it looks or was hardly shot in the past God knows how many years.

It's just good to have a memorial to your grandfather. Enjoy them.
I've never shot an MP25 but just go through it and make sure it is safe. It will be nice to bring it out once in awhile. The Ruger is actually a great piece to plink with and practice. I have an older Mark1 and everyone enjoys shooting that pistol. It's great for newbies and plain old fun!

At one point in the early 90s, we could get Raven, Jennings and Phoenix pistols all at the same time. Quality....terrible!!!!!!

That Raven looks a lot like my Jennings J-22. The Jennings is a bit fussy about what ammo it will feed, but seems to do OK with stuff it likes. It is a very inexpensive firearm. I recall these being sold for $50 beck in the late '70s.

My grandfather had a j22 box as well with just an extra mag and the parts breakdown and prices "plus $2 shipping."
