What in your opinion is the kahr model that can best hold up to abuse, neglect, etc.

I take care of my guns, very well, but I am curious as to what some of your opinions on the subject are.

My guess is the cw/p9. I could be wrong though. What say you?

I'd guess one of the all steel pistols like the "K" or "MK" series. I'm expecting my MK40 to outlive me.

Polymer, I'm asking about polymer.

I'm sure the K9 is the most durable Kahr in general though.

This, I realize ;)

But seriously, what is the best kahr? Reliability wise.

Seeing as how every polymer kahr is exactly like every other polymer Kahr by design, I'd say that there is probably very little difference between them. The 9mm might have a slight edge over the others, but only because of the cartridge itself.

+1 and add this (coming from someone who has never owned ANY polymer framed handgun = I speak not from experience :o):

I would think the smaller you get the greater the chance for issues = less reliable. So I too vote for CW9/P9 and add TP9

I trust my two pm45's and pm9 with my life.

My CW9 and CM9 have been equally reliable with 400+ rounds through each.

So far I would say that my cm9 has had 600+ rounds through it without any issues. I think it also depends on how you treat and maintain your firearms.

My CW9 has about 2k rounds through it. It has been great and I have been carrying it since December. I love this gun and it will be my carry gun for a LONG time!

CW40 #1 has 1,800 rounds, CW40 #2 has 1,500 rounds and both are flawless with Hornady Critical Duty.

This is good news. I just picked up a CT40. The slide wouldn't lock back on an empty mag off the range, but did it just fine while firing. Tonight I took the mag apart and filed some rough patches on the follower. It seems to be working better now. So far it's flawless through about 25 rounds... I need to shoot it more :D

The Kahr P9. Gotta be. The PM9 really took off and there MIGHT be more of them out there than the P9. But the P9 has been around longer w/ seemingly less purported feeding issues than the PM9. So I'm going w/ the P9 as being the most reliable Kahr in the field.
