Just did my second trip with my CM9. 150 rounds, flawless as before. Over 250 rds now with no FTF,FTE's,jams of any type. And to top it off,my CCL became active yesterday. Now to watch the mailbox.:)

And so it begins. You have been assimilated.
Congratulations on the easy part. Now comes the all consuming search for which holster/ which clothes/ which venue. Just when you think you are through, it begins.

I have 300 rounds through my CM9, and I'm having issues that might cause me to sell it. The slide will sometimes stay back after firing when there are rounds in the magazine. Even worse, a round may be in the chamber and pulling the trigger does nothing (usually with one round left). For a concealed carry gun, that is unacceptable. And I heeded other comments to watch my thumbs, on the first issue. It's not me. It's the gun.

I remember when I saw online that my CHL was approved and on its way. Never before has the calendar moved that slowly for me.
Concealed carry. It was, for me, quite literally a life-changing event. In the best possible way, of course.
In a way, the day I first carried in public was "the day I became a man." To me, it represented taking ownership of my own safety and security. Being fully responsible for myself and my family. I kind of think of it as the final stage of "growing up".
And there's no going back. Not that I want to. ;)

It's good for 5 years and you have to pay to renew. I can't remember if it's another $150 or if it's $75. I know if you change addresses or lose your card the charge is freaking $75.
If track record is any indication you may have another in prison in another year or two :)

Jocko, did you say that you graduated from Penn State or from the State Pen? I can't remember.

Call Kahr, send it back, they will fix'er up.
They will, eventually... They had my P45 for six weeks before sending it back to me. By the way, they don't notify you it was shipped and it requires a signature of course.

That's the reason I had my local gunshop handle the shipping and receiving.
It cost me $30, and they called me when it was back. No muss, no fuss:D:D

I'm not going to pay an additional thirty dollars because Kahr doesn't have enough employees handling shipping. Not to mention I was without a brand new premium pistol, that cost nearly seven hundred dollars, for six weeks.

I received my CCL about a month ago and I agree with how CC represents taking ownership of my, but more importantly, my family's safety and security. It feels good knowing that you're prepared to do everything possible to protect your loved ones if ever necessary.

Now your head will be on a swivel every time you walk into a store - looking for the ILCS 430 "No Guns" sign.
I dropped my car off for a oil change and didn't notice the sign until I came back to pick the car up.

BTW, the reason I got the CM9 was because I normally pocket carry a Rohrbaugh R9 but I got sick of unloading and putting it in a pack, and then loading it again.
The R9 stays loaded and when I enter a GFZ, I just lock the R9 in the car and container transport the CM9 unloaded. I carry it in a 5.11 Select Carry Pistol Pouch or the Ka-Bar TDI pack.
