About 3 wks ago I sent my 380 back to Kahr for warranty service after numerous failures to feed (about 10% of the time) with a variety of ammo. Usually the pistol simply returned to battery leaving the slide about 1/2" open. Well, I got it back today after only 3 wks. The repair note said they "inspected the firearm-new extractor, recoil springs and one new mag-mod the slide stop and two mod followers-lubed and test fired, OK". Hopefully, this will solve my problems. Unfortunately, I managed to break a small bone in my hand so it may be awhile before I have a chance to test fire it.

Try using the other hand. I wouldn't be able to wait long enough for a bone to heal:rolleyes:

Hope ya heal well and fast:amflag:

Definitely shoot with the weak hand. It's an essential part of self defense training!
Three years ago I had to permanently switch to my weak hand….you never know what life will bring.
I can still shoot with my strong hand (right) but in very limited numbers.

Not sure weak hand shooting would be a fair test of the gun. Likelihood of limp wristing much higher. On the other hand, if it feeds and fires without problem using only weak hand you can be pretty confident it's fixed.

My problem a the moment is cycling the slide. Before it went back to Kahr I had cycled the slide hundreds of times but with new recoil springs it feels pretty stiff again.

Hey, experts out there. I would really like to know what " mag-mod the slide stop and two mod followers-lubed" means. Most of us don't just want our gun repaired. We really want to understand what was wrong, why it wasn't operating correctly, and exactly what was done to fix it and why that fix will solve the problem. Unfortunately, the gunsmith doesn't have time to document all of that. However, curious minds want to know.

referring to normally what a gun company put son the repair order, IMO that is about all the info ur gonna get. They won't go into details let me all think they should. Just not gonna happen.,
I had a German cockocoo clock that needed serviced as it stopped running etc. I took it to a rfella who works on cuckcoo clocks and he had it 3 months and then charged me $129 and said he pulled the mechanisim ou tof the clock and lubed it kand it was good to go. Tok it home and hung it o thge same wall where it had hung for over 5 years and worked great on taht wall. This clock ran about 2 days and then did the same escat thing that made me get it serviced. I took it back, stated my case icely, ad he questioned my integrity as to well was it level, etc, how was it hanging etc, did u have a ceiling fan on etc. all things that was the same for the latr 5 years also. anyways I left it and he said he would look it over . A month plus went buy and yesterday I called him and he siad yup it is ready to go, It has been hanging on my wall since u left it here and it has never actedup once.
Now: my question: Did he fix it and find there was smething tha the might have missed te first time but now doesn't want to admit it so says it has been perfect since I brought it back or was it my ceiling fa, or improperly hung etc. both of which I know was never an issues either. y point is, sometimes these akers of products will never tell uy the whole truth, for it might expose themselves. Right now the clock is perfroming perfectly on the same wall it has hung for over 5years and yes ceiling fan is on and it si also perfectly level. So I should say I really don't care one way or the utter what he did or did not do. IT IS WORKING. Just sayin

Ol' jocko, I read a lot of your posts and always slow down when doing so, for interpretation of course... But this time I about spit my coffee out of mouth! When I hang mine up on the wall I figure it won't be working any longer, nor need a daily winding, ceiling fan or not;)

I read that part of the repair order to mean that they somehow modified the mag followers.
