Hey everybody! Just got back home from my LGS where I pickup my highly anticipated Sig716 Precision Marksman Rifle. What a beauty! But the story here, and the reason I am posting on Kahr Talk is that while everyonein the Gun Store was oohing and awing over the new Sig716, my wife wanderedover and saw a lonely Kahr PM40-Black sitting all by itself in the gun case.

Story was that this store had the gun for over a year! Taking it to gun shows every weekend and displaying in the case next to a few two tone Kahrs all week. For whatever reason... no takers. Well, it was just looking up at Amy with big puppy-dog eyes and the next thing I knew Amy was cuddling up to it and making like she wanted to take it home.

Well, “Happy Wife, Happy Life,” so I just couldn’t say no. I’m a suckerlike that…

And when the new PM40-Black got to the house and saw a long lost cousin, my carry gun a P380-Black, she knew she had found a good home.

All’s well that ends well.

I just love stories with happy endings!

Both of our Kahr puppies are full blooded PM40 breed with papers and one looks a lot like yours.

I predict more happy times to come. :)

What brand of slip-on grips are those?

Lone Wolf Qwik Grip size 3, but the only place you will find them is on Amazon dot com where Lone Wolf Distributors lists their discontinued items.

They are less than $10 there, so I would not hesitate myself.

Visit Midway to see more information, but they are listed as discontinued there.

Oh, and I just noticed Amazon only has size 1 & 2. They will be too long, but you can cut them down. I am not sure about the circumference on size 1, might be loose. Size 2 is just a little long . . .

Personally, I would still give it a try.

Best of luck!

I find these Black PM fellas need a little training time but once you get them broken in as it were, the are completely trustworthy:)

Thinking Leopold 24 or Nikon 24 or maybe reach deep in the wallet for an ACOG. Just looking into this, she deserves something special... The guys at Shark Coast Tactical in Sarasota are again a big help in this department and giving me a lot to think about and a quick primer on what is available.

And I don't want to "poor mouth" here, but after dropping the cash for the rifle, PM40 and about $300 in miscellaneous ammo this week... I have to take a breather! :o

I have the older PM40 in black, nearly identical except for a bit shorter ( I think). Very close to shooting a grenade.

Saying it is a lot of recoil? I know that the grip is very small for this much power, but I gotta see for myself. How do you like shooting your PM40?

It is a fun shooting gun.
