Thanks for the update, did you try regular 1911 mags in it?

No, apparently it's possible but they must be modified.

I'd recommend sticking with factory.

Some 1911 design mags drop in and run , some need a small amount of un needed metal removed and they will still work in a 1911. Like a new mag from kahr it most be proofed before carry'n.

Good review.

Ya done it again. Another great review. Kahr should consider hiring you as their sales rep. Nice job.

Well done short review about the right length.

Professionally done review. If you could only have one, would you choose the CT40 or the CT45? My CW45 has the best trigger of any of my other Kahrs, a CM9, and CW380. Did you also find this to be true between any of your other Kahr's?

My CT45 I bought last week from Grabagun came in today

I need to to break it down and prep it but Purple is right on regarding the trigger. It feels lighter then the trigger on my cw 380 or my cw9

All I need now is one of the Houge sleeve grips

Between the CT40 and CT45, I'd choose the 40. Less recoil, same power and capacity, while being more compact. The 45 however has the better trigger of the two.

I've never found a 40 that had less recoil or snapiness than a 45 that I have owned. Maybe that's the key phrase. That I have owned

I would like to shoot the 45 ct or tp to compare the two. I have a 40 tp and find it easy to shoot , snappy yes but even with the fast 155gr underwood ammo comfortable. I rather shoot the tp40 than my 5" 1911 45 with 200gr swc plinker load almost 500 fps slower. It has a bit of snap but more push back

The 40 has less recoil, but more snap due to the higher pressures. Some don't notice this, but many do as recoil tends to be a subjective thing.

Yeah, the ct40 (or tp) is quite a pleasure to shoot. Definitely recoils less than the glock 23 I used to own.

You're right....it is a subjective thing. My experience is I've never enjoyed shooting a 40 no matter which gun it is. The only 45 that I've found I don't care to shoot was my xDs 3.3.

I just posted my initial range report with the CT45 and other than throwing some brass at me a few times it pretty much mirrored what you had said in your review.

I'm going to go buy another 100 rounds today of Amscor ammo (LGS has it for 19.99) and maybe some Speer Lawman to complete the 200 round break in

It is to bad It has taken a cheap version to get people to pay attention the large poly kahrs.

Well, sometimes a higher end maker has to bring out an affordable model to build the brand and reputation. Kahr is still pretty new, and their other polymer guns are priced right with a lot of other brands that are more established. I'm hoping Kahr brings out a full sized double stack, with a clicky trigger that is better than the PPQ...

Hey, a guy can dream can't he?

That would be a 2011 from para or ria or sti. I going to order a ria 2011 mid size vz in 40 as soon as they release them. That will make a nice double stack.
