Interviewed at the Texas Department of Justice yesterday in Huntsville.
The city is beautiful.
And the people are nice.
I think I've got a shot.

I could get used to being a Texan.
Should get word in about a week.

That is all...

You also need to mount horns on the front grille of your auto, and, well, you'll have to change your name.............not too many Barth's in Texas;)

I'm bald my friend.
So I never wear hats.
Girls need to know what they are getting into.

I used to wear cowboy boots.
But have switched to Magnum Tactical.
I also drive a 4X4 and own a S&W 44 mag.
So I should fit right in...

There's nobody named Barth anywhere.
And I'm not changing my name...

I have a 12 gauge and a S&W 44 mag.
Plus I drive a 4x4.
I'm good.

I see your name, I see your avatar.
All I think of is Black Bart from 'A Christmas Story'. :)

You will like Huntsville if you like small town, rugged individual thinking. Like most of "small town Texas", city boys don't generally like the way of life and on the other hand the locals don't generally like city boy thinking. Make sense?

Welcome to Texas .... when/if you officially get here. I'm just an hour or two away from Huntsville (Northeast). Give me a holler if I can help you with understanding local customs. I speak the language :)

Thanks much.
If things work out?
I'll for sure ask for assistance.

Texas is brand new to me...

Bawanna's comment made me laugh, and it is right on.

Sounds like a great fit, for both you and Texas. I grew up down there and find myself thinking of going back more than I ever expected to. I guess I still can, I don't have any ex's in Texas.

But, don't rule out the hat thing. That sun is pretty intense down there. Best to get a hat before that first bad burn. Women will still know what they are getting into, most of the time the hat is removed when indoors in the south.

Good luck and have fun!

I'd lose the Smith and get ya a Colt SAA. Better fit and less chance of having a Wyntrout when your spinning your piece before yall holster.

It looks like you will have some other gun friendly folks who are moving to Huntsville too, with Remington moving manufacturing of several gun brands there!

I've got four pre-lock S&W revolvers.
None of them are going anywhere...

Thanks for the luck.

Deadly accurate.
I call it Special K.

Good luck on gettin' hired.

If it all goes well, be sure and pay your respects at President/Governor/General/Senator Sam Houston's grave - the greatest Texan who ever lived (IMO). Also visit his old home, now a museum.

And if you already own an AR15, it might improve your standing with the locals if you get yourself a couple of these:
