Yeah, me too.

I had one on order, fully paid, at a discount price of $660 from 2010 through 2013. I just checked the dates. I got my money back outta that deal - the FFL is a great guy - and there's not been one even close to MSRP thats a legitmate sale around these parts. That is, folks advertise... then say its a pre-order at $880 or some such. BTW, $880 was the old MSRP in 2010, so... its gone up some, but maybe not a huge amount considering four years and wringing out the issue.

Fortnately for me, I've got cases of #8's here, ready to give up their lives to prove this shotguns worthiness!

$15 FFL awaits. Less than $330 for a new and delivered CW9 in a week or so.

Need to get a couple extra mags as well.

Going to have the slide painted wit kg gun kote matte black along with a pair of mags. New EDC setup.

Love my K9 but the thing is like a magnet for folks giving me "the look" when the catch a glimps of the stainless.

I had a chance to fire a CW9 that had been worked over and it was at least on par with my K9.

Au contraire, a pre-lock 66 is much higher on my list than a 686 with a Hilary hole will ever be.

But, hey, I am an old guy, like most of the other S&W revolver enthusiasts on the S&W Forum who are pushing up the prices on the older, pre-lock revolvers. :o

Honestly, I've looked at what goes for sale on Gunbroker and other auction sites. A pre-lock 66 is not selling for more than a nice condition 686.

$600 for the 66 vs $700 for the 686

But alot depends on the seller and buyer. To each their own.

No reason to be banned that I can see. I have a four inch 586 already, I needed a new K frame and I love snubbies so it was a good trade for me, even tho I regret giving up the K9 as soon as I did it.
