Hi all, as I said in a previous post, I bought the CW380 yesterday to compliment the CM9 that I bought a couple month back.
Yesterday, I came home to start the break in period, and all the ammo I had was Fiocchi and Perfecta. The CW had no part of that cheap junk.
So, last night I took a trip to Cabelas. All they really had in stock was LOTS of HPR and some Winchester training ammo. I've heard bad things about the Winchester, and havent really heard anything about the HPR. So, a quick preliminary search using the old iphone and I was going to give the HPR a shot.
Well, I just ran 100 rounds of the TMJ through the gun. No breaks at all. Just long enough to reload and I shot 5 at a time to keep it simple.
ZERO malfunctions. NADA. And the accuracy of this little bugger is awesome. Held a fist size group at 8 yards no problem. 4 out of 5 in the paper plate at 25 yards too. I know I messed one of them shots up.
Anyhow, just thought I'd pass on some info on the HPR. It seems to be very good ammo. Also, when I tore the gun apart to clean it, I was very pleased with how 'un-dirty' it was.
I'm impressed, and off to Cabelas to return the Fiocchi and pick up more HPR, Walmart to return the Perfecta. My glock 42 shoots all of it, But I'd rather have one brand for both of them.
FWIW, I did pick up a box of the HPR JHP too, ran 20 of them through with no problems as well.
