Hello, I've had a CW 9 for about a year but haven't shot it that much. When I do shoot it, it is fairly reliable and accurate. However, I have 3 mags, and none eject clearly from the gun. One does not eject except after coaxing by me, and the other two eject about a half inch? Is that typical, fixable?

Thanx

It it's unclear to me what you mean about ejecting a half inch. Do the shells actually eject or do they get jammed as in a stove pipe? How many rounds have you ran through the gun? The brain's on this forum may have you work the magazine's as well.

My CW9 mags eject about 1/2 inch also. They don't pop out and fall to the ground.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my post. When I shoot the gun until empty, and press the mag release button, one mag does not eject from the gun at all and I have to pull, tug, and wiggle it to get that one out, two mags ejects about 1/2 inch so I can pull them out.

has done that since day one and over 32K rounds also. I luv it that way, no bending over picking up a dirty magazine, I would bet I am maybe a millisecond slower in loading a spare mag over urs dropping somewhere.

Not ust u, but I think we make way way to much out of this magazine dropping thing. Its fixable but no whgere have I ever rea dwere kahr has ever stated that their magazine shold drop freely either. Listen tothe tips given , u can fgix it or keep sending thge magazine back until it pleases u.

Many never carry a spare magazine either, so it is a mute po9int for some also.

I do not want my mags to "drop free". If I pull them out I can stow them or drop them as I see fit. And if I'm just "topping off" the gun, I want to save the "partial" mag. Ya never know when a "partial" will come in handy.

YMMV

OK then, and you cannot drop/catch the falling mag into your weak hand why:confused:
just askin' :D

Primary reason is dropping and catching is a fine motor skill which may be lacking under stress.

Secondary reason is because my right handed (I'm a lefty) motor skills are in poor shape due to surviving a stroke that the medics thought I would never recover from.

Don't worry, I believed in my statement long before the health issues bit me in the backside:eek:

And your question was in fact a good one. As a former trainer, you cannot believe the number of people I have seen that, under stress, were lucky to hang onto their pistol. Never mind successfully reloading it.

Some people can in fact maintain fine motor skills under stress. Most of the time these folks have had a lot of training, and are "cool" under pressure.
