My number's up!

Serbu called, and I spoke to the nice lady for a good 20 minutes.

They're about to issue me a serial number for form 4, and I need to get my butt in gear and get my trust paperwork and such faxed to them asap. Been waiting since last August for this!

Even so, I've got about a 2 month build time, which will run concurrently with my BATFE transfer time.... could be six months to a year.

But at least we're moving forward and off the wait list, and onto the "make it happen" list.

For those unknowing of my joy, its two fold.

The Serbu Super Shorty is a 12 gauge Remington 870 reworked as a 2+1 configuration with a 6-1/2 inch barrel and foldable vertical foregrip. Total length is something like 16 inches, from muzzle to end of pistol grip.

My second point of joy.... is the Kel-Tec KSG should be in tomorrow!

My original quest was for the KSG, and after a few years of waiting I got tired of waiting, got my money back - as dealer had no idea if and when he'd get any KSG's. In the mean time, I got the Super Shorty bug.

Looks like both will be a reality. YES!!!!!!

Cool! I have looked at doing one of the "PGO" shotguns the ATF says are legal with barrels under 18", if the gun OAL is over 26. I cannot decide if the thing would be useful to me. Still, having grown up watching Miami Vice, the shorty under the jacket is a neat idea. ;)

Congrats CJB!!!...Hey John, Another Miami Vice fan here and I remember that very first episode where Tubbs is sitting in his car and the gang of hoods comes over pulling switch blades looking for trouble and then you see the end of those 2 big sawed off barrels come up over the window ledge and Tubbs says "Can it wait"?.....Punks say absolutely sir and scatter....Priceless

Sawed off's are so BA

WTF?

Miami Vice ended its run in 1989. The Serbu wasn't invented until 1996. Hmmm. There are other shorties, but only one SUPER Shorty...

Maybe off the reservation, but... at least she's playing a Taylor.

Sort of an Ovation Adamas SMT fan myself... but to each his own.

Nothing to apolgize about ... no crankiness, just getting on the same page thats all.

I'm not into instruments, but she is -

For years, Sarah McLachlan's main stage guitar has been a late-'70s Larrivée C-10 with rosewood back and sides,
a spruce top, and a Florentine cutaway.
The guitar is amplified with a Fishman Rare Earth Blend
(which combines a magnetic pickup and an internal mic),
running through a Radial JDV Mk3 active DI.
She has also performed with Canadian-made Morgan guitars
(www.morganguitars.com),
and at the time of the interview, she was trying out Taylor models with Expression System electronics.

McLachlan strings her guitars with phosphor-bronze or vintage bronze Dean Markleys.
She uses medium-lights (.012—.054) for her guitars in E A D G A D and D A D G A D tunings.
Sometimes she uses lights (.011—.046) and raises E A D G A D a whole step so her capo positions can be two frets lower.
For instance, in the past she played "Building a Mystery"
in E A D G A D with a capo at the seventh fret,
but now she tunes to F# B E A B E and capoes at the fifth fret.
McLachlan's capo of choice is a Dunlop C-Four.

I used to use a transducer mic blended with a live mic. Hard to get the feedback out but sure sounded great.

I think Sarah just stole your thread CJB ;)
