Ordered on Sunday, was at the dealer today.
Total cost including FFL fee was under $330...
Full of oil/cosmoline/crud and took several soakings in Ed's Red to get the gunk out. I tore down the slide and it is really rough.
I can see why Kahr can sell these for under $300 and something like the K9 Elite goes for nearly $1K.
The rest of the frame was cleaned up using Hoppes and elbo grease and a dozen q-tips.
I have on order a new recoil (22#) and striker spring (5#) from Wolff, since that is what I have in my K9 NYPD.
The only thing I have done so far is take the slide and use a bit of bore lapping compound to smooth out the slide/frame fit. Doesn't take much and it "glides" almost as nice as my K9.
I'm switching up from Hornady Critical Defense 115gr to Critical Duty 135gr. Not all that interested in the +P stuff that I see listed. I'll save that for my P89.
Ironically enough, my K9 and P89 look like cousins. The CW9 and my stainless top end P345 look like sisters.
