I pickup a g41 today. I think I did ok as they are not as low cost as say a g19 is 643 bucks for it. Cleaned it up and loaded 3 different home rolled and a couple CC ammo in and ran a mag full out back. Ran good with 185gr hp +P to200gr bayou bullets swc loads . Got to get some range time now.

Stay out the darn gun shops and you can't catch it.

Ive not laid eyes on a 41 yet. I'll suspect I'll have to check it out when the opportunity arises.

I sympathize. However, I will never catch this malady as I am totally immune.

Bawanna Our general store has had 4 of them come and go. I was good with only seeing the others threw glass . Did not even bend over for a good look. This time UPS just made a delivery and they were checking it in and one the guys said here, check it out and handed it to me!! That did it. SUCKER
O'Dell I thought I was immune too. Almost 59 years old and had a g17 come to me used at a low price come and go away in a short time frame with no attachment to it. I finally bought my first 1911 late last year. As good as it is I have no love for almost 39 of steel. So time will tell if ether one stays around long term.

I have been eyeballing on at LGS a while now, 539... the only reason I haven't bought it is I have a 45T for a range HD gun already...

539 is a heck of a price for the g41.Thats a regular glock price. Buy if you can.

I have long loathed them, but I feel a disturbance in the force every time I look for sights, holsters, etc for my CZ P-01 or my Kahrs. There will be a G17 in the safe someday soon. Along w/ another CZ, Kahr, or three.

All my Glocks are Double Stacks pretty nice. Great to have 16 rounds of 10mm ammo at the press of a finger. Never shot a 45 in Gl.

Soul !! There no soul in any handgun . Maybe some that are a little more pratical than others are a bit more accurate but there all just tools for a need or want. I will never own a BBQ@ gun and find no brand worth of pay'n some out rages amount of money for or because its prudy.
GLOCKROCKER And they let you on here with a mane like that!! hehehe Thanks Just tested some 9mm loads in my cm9 and cleaned it up. Figure if I can tune the loads down yet still function in the cm9 they will be good for my wife and girls for there carry pistols for fun shooting.
Chris I'm about done buy'n firearms if this one works out. I'll still carry my tp40 or cm9 and have to many other handguns as it is. Some old some new Most all get used excpt for my colt huntsman. retired it. Been a grand ole pistol and my first, well my dad bought it when I was 6. Save'n it for a grand son.
I have a 1911 , just had to try one. A low cost ria tact fs and found it to be more than accurate and feeds everything I have loaded to try and after a little stoning of parts and bending of springs it now has a respectable 3 1/2lb trigger but its still a lard butt of a pistol and may end up a son-in-laws pistol. The glock might be its replacement and could make a better house or woods pistol .
DavidR That looks good with the sand paper in the slide groves and the grip aid . I am not found of the texturing or finger groves but after it proves to be functional I can deal with them later.
Thanks all .

I have long loathed them, and still do. OK for others, not for me. I don't own any Tupperware firearms at present. I love the metal firearms........heavier, yes..........better, yes.http://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

No soul in any handgun? Blasphemy. They all have some, some far more than others and some very little hardly worth mentioning.
I live for BBQ guns too.
Guns are the one thing in life that as a general rule don't piss me off.
They don't boss me, they don't talk back to me, they seldom cause me grief.
Thinking about moving to Arkansas so I can marry one.

I gotta agree w/ the boss on this one. When I pick up any of my Kahrs, a friends Glock, a Sig...so both plastic and metal...I feel like I'm just picking up another tool out off the garage work bench. But I pick up my CZ (even though its a newer-fangled aluminum jobby), or a 1911, or a well broken in Vaquero, tuned Smith wheel gun. Now THOSE have soul and feeling. Those are a TRUE joy to shoot. Not that I don't enjoy shooting my tools, but the others are just epic if you ask me.

Went to our local indoor range as we had to go to town and I fired off a 100 rounds . Nice owners and employes but lighting sucks. Still managed to get to know the glock a little better. Shoots well but with the ammo I used centered about 2" low at 10 yards so I could at least keep a little bit of the aim point and all but a few fliers went into about a 2 " by 3" area. That's real good for me indoors here. Kind of like shooting 30 minutes after sundown with head lights on the target. Night night enough to bright in up. Next trip to the out door range I'll try the carry ammo and adjust the rear sight to that. Trigger pull is 5.6lbs and smooth after 112 rounds. Can't remember what a glocks trigger should feel like. Guess its good enough as it is. I will say it seems to be a flatter shooter than my 5" 1911 .

I'm glad your new toy worked out well. I have a similar gun but in 40. The G35. I'm not as big a fan of 40 as I used to be, but this one is pleasant to shoot. Once I get conversion barrels in 9mm (and poss 357 Sig) it will be quite versatile.

If I had not bought a tp40 it might have bought the g35 for a house /fun pistol. Now I carry my 40 all the time. Love it. My oldest daughter claimed my cw9 as hers as its been just sitting around for the last years and 1/2.
9mm and 357 sig barrel for your 35 will cover most any needs and cover any future ammo shortage well.
Not sure if I'll do anything to the glock or not. Seems to work well as is.

I would probably go with the 9 conversion first. The 357 would be nice if I finally get back into handloading again. Ammo is pretty pricey and hard to find locally.
Even tho this thread is about "combat tupperware", there aren't enough pictures. Since I just got my old G27 cerakoted, I'll include my pair 'o guns here.

Great photo, I'll get my photo on here, probably later than sooner . My skills ,a, suck with a camera. I can't shoot smaller and softer cartridges thru mine so slower and light will be what I try for. See what it will run reliably with before changing spring rates.

I don't get emotionally attached to a Glock, but I sure do get pleasure from how easy it is to put rounds on target. Whether I'm shooting .40S&W or 9mm through the Glock 22 or .45ACP through the Glock 30S, there's really nothing to it. I don't have to work hard to get good groups, unlike shooting with some other pistols.
With that being said, I have always felt very attached to Kahr pistols.

Very nice.
These semi-long slide Glocks are among my favorites. I actually carry mine in the cooler months. Many people look at them and think they are so big. My G35 is basically the same length as a 1911 and a good bit lighter. Having 16 rounds (or 31 w/ a spare) of Gold Dot on tap is good.

I got a Short Frame G21 and didn't have a chance to compare the XD45 Tactical 5" with it before I sold the XD, but the G35 must be about as huge!
I did have an IWB Kydex holster by Deadeyeluke fitted for it... still have that and a few mag holders.

wyntrout I try not to do the large frame photos One of the other forums scolded me a couple times for that and just got use to posting small.
downtown Nope, never, don't need , can't see it. Ha Not computer savy enough to need another flash drive and have no need for a laser off a handgun. Adding one to a handgun is low on my list of needs too. Now the pin, I do carry a good strong bodied pin with a wide flat top on it to use as a defenseive tool if ever needed and makes for a great basic pen. I remember when I use to write stuff !! hehe
yogi My cc's are still kahrs, a cm9 and or tp40.

This forum is quite a bit user-friendly. I don't think that everyone knows to click on the smaller image to access the full-sized at the online site. Some guys really do post tiny pix that don't get larger.

I really am one the least skilled people to be around a computer. Thankfully I have some very skilled girls to help out when needed. I occasionally to try to figure out functions a have no business screw'n around with and have to get help many times just to get back to the basics. Very basics.

yqtszhj Keep telling your self there a niche. Its more about- I see it , its cool, I want it. Can I justify the purchase or hide it !! Not like I needed this glock 41 , I have perfectly good 1911 to serve the same needs. Gota stay out of the damd gun shops. Hard when its a great have it all general store too and only 3/10ths a mile away.

Congrats on the G30. With nite sites, 2 13-round mags & 2 10-round mags, it is my bedside gun of choice, can't beat the firepower. The G30 is also my carry weapon of choice during the cooler months here in Oregon. Hope you find your niche for this versatile Glock. :D
