Looks like a case of our protesters are less annoying than their protesters.

I'm impressed. Chipotle policy has been reasonable and consistent.

And the moral of the story: you can have your views...that's freedom. Just don't be a jerk.

I'm aware that this is one of your hot buttons DavidS. It is a good example of the differences between conservatives and liberals.
Gun owners (many of us) respond to opposing views by saying: "you can have your view, I just won't patronize you any longer." We exercise our freedoms and our economic influence.
MDAers say: "you cannot have your opposing view and we want you to turn in your guns and we want you kicked out of the restaurant." They expect to force their agenda upon everyone...which is the exact opposite of freedom IMO.

My hot button is not the difference between conservatives and liberals. My hot button is with gun owners going off half cocked and using the same tactics as MDAers.
In the thread I referenced, it was entitled "Another place not to spend money at" implying gun owners should not do business at Chipotle's. And by posting on a public forum, they are trying to influence others into their own way of thinking. By doing so, gun owners are trying to force their agenda upon the business by saying "Allow guns or us gun owners will not patronize your establishment, will hurt your profits, and maybe will put you out of business".
Unless a business is actively campaigning for gun control, I believe this action is wrong.

I used to have some hot buttons, not so much any more.
I'm sort of like that ventriloguist dummy anymore, I just don't give a damn.

^^^ understood...and I thought I addressed your hot topic. But we do tend to be of like mind around here on many issues. So it's no surprise (to me at least) that we exercise our freedoms and economic influence together.
But that's not this thread's topic. Sorry to go off track. I DO applaud this individual Chipotle manager for actually using some common sense. That's something we don't see enough of. Does that change the way I feel about Chipotle corporate? Maybe a little.

Neal Boortz had an interesting comment on this subject and I think he may be on to something....He said that he believes some of the open carry, in your face, AR's slung over the shoulder types may not be 2nd amendment supporters at all but ANTI gun groups trying to start trouble and pull a publicity stunt trying to make gun owners look bad....Sounds like something they would try....

I don't see it that way. I see the it as lefties pitting concealed carry advocates against open carry advocates in a divide and conquer strategy. It's the same strategy that pits conservative republicans against moderate republicans so that liberal democrats can win elections. I'm not stupid enough to fall for that. That how Obama got elected to office while the republicans fought among each other. If we don't support each other we'll go down together. I enjoy my freedom too much for that.

Obama got elected on the race card. Nothing more. Zero qualifications, zero experience, nothing going for him at all but a nationwide fear of being labeled racist.
Some who weren't racist before probably are now. Political Correctness is a huge advantage for the libs.
