I absolutely love my CW45. Get's me lusting after the smaller PM45. Is the quality that much better so I don't have to polish the feed ramp and the chamber? Trigger pull smoother or lighter? I'd love to get one in all black with night sights....

I think all the Kahrs now seem to come pretty well polished in the feed ramp area. The trigger etc should be virtually the same and like your CW get better and better with time.
Most of the difference is the external cosmetics. I love my PM45, it is smooth and a delight to carry all the time. I've actually been hankering for a CW45 myself for some time.
I won't trade to get one but I wouldn't mind adding one as a mate.

I agree. After all of the break in and work I've done to make this a sweet shooter, there is NO WAY I'm trading it in. It's simply too sweet. Just gotta suffer and break in a new member of the family... oh what a terrible way to go...sigh
The CM/PM series share the same exact bottom end. No difference. All the difference is in the slide machining, and the rifling in the barel, and the sights.
I disagree that they "cost less" to manufacture, or at least enough less to justifiy the lower price. Instead, the CM or CW series are just "non premium" or "down market" products, to cost less and sell more of. I don't think you'd notice a difference in the CM vs PM.
OTOH, the CM45 has not been seen yet. I got two PM45's and they both run like Singer sewin' machines! A few weeks ago, I decided to dump the ammo in the one PM45 by shootin' it. That ammo had been there for a year, the pistol had been in my pocket almost daily for a year, and it was grungy. The only thing that had changed was the chambered round going into and out of the chamber daily. Ammo was likely to be WWB.
Took it out of my pocket, sweat and lint and all... six shots as fast as I could pull the trigger. Zero hiccups.
I trust my PM45's!

I sold my CW45 but later got a PM45. I like the PM45 better, but I don't know why.
I think because I expect a small light .45 to be a little jumpy, but not a .45 the size of a 1911 officer.

Several ears ago I did the same thing, traded a CW for a PM. However, it didn't take long to miss the CW, so I bought another. That CW45 is still my principle carry.
