Bought my first Kahr, a CW9, from the LGS yesterday and went to the range today for break-in. Used a variety of ammo....Federal 115gr FMJ, Remington UMC 115gr MC, Monarch 115gr FMJ, Blazer 115gr FMJ and Blazer 124gr FMJ. Put about 240 rounds down range and the pistol performed flawlessly with all the ammo except for 2 FTE's which were entirely my fault for having a loose grip when I was checking the sight alignment using my tool box as an improvised rest. My eyesight isn't what it used to be and with bifocals I usually end up with a fuzzy sight picture but off my toolbox rest I was able to get consistant 2 to 3 inch groups at 7 yards. The trigger is absolutely great. It broke crisply and once I was used to the reset I was able to get double and triple taps in a 6 inch circle...certainly in the kill zone. I also shoot a Taurus PT809C which is SA/DA hammer fired and I would compare the trigger of the Kahr as nearly identical so the SA trigger of the Taurus in terms of crispness, nearly zero creep and short reset.
Excellent quality....super reliability....perfect for concealed carry.....one hell of a bargain (I paid $339).....MADE IN AMERICA!!! :Amflag2:
Well done Kahr!
