I only carry OWB. CW380 in a Mitch Rosen OWB leather belt slide I purchased off the Kahr Shop website. S&W M&P 9C in a Desantis leather Mini Slide. Both are worn strong side at 3:30-4:00.

My buddy OWB CC's a CM9 in a Kydex holster I made for him.
He wears it right appendix 1:30.
He's a skinny guy and it disappears.

I'm a big guy also, but was thinking appendix carry might work for me based upon my shape.

Except for when you got to sit down.
If u want to CC a OWB holster then it needs to position the gun high.
I made this OWB holster for my CW45 and try wearing it at 4:30 and the handle prints bad with a Tshirt.

G26, G30 & 1911 Commander are my go to OWB Carry weapons. Carry in a White Hat Holster kydex slide holster @ 3:30-4:00, or these same 3 in leather cross-draw holsters @ around 10:30-11:00. They all work great & get time in the rotation, just depends on my mood. :D

I am almost exclusively a t-shirt or polo shirt person. However, a little bit of printing will not be a no-go, I just don't want to be too obvious. Oklahoma has open carry so it is not a legal issue.

Good question. As the weather gets warmer and clothes lighter, I move to IWB...although I find OWB more comfortable. I can get away with the Ruger and the Kahrs OWB under an untucked heavy t-shirt. Golf shirts are usually too thin for OWB.

Seldom wear jackets, not quite as cold here as in WI. ;)

Heavy t-shirts. My t-shirts are also heavy. The polo style shirts I wear most are a heavy cotton, heavier than the t's. Sounds promising.

CW40 in a Don Hume JIT slide. Have the matching Mag holder too. Gun wears at 5 o'clock with the magazine at 7. This rig requires a cover shirt and for me that is a loud (usually silk) Hawaiian shirt over a tee. The tee keeps the gun off the skin and the pattern in the shirts camouflages any printing.

So, if you run across an fat, old guy... wicked good handle bar stash... draped in a loud shirt, always wearing a ball cap... staring at your bad manors with a business like scowl...

Well say "Howdy" and mind your P's and Q's.

Oh! and don't forget a good gun belt.

My life doesn't require having my shirt tucked so I carry from a 340pd mk9 to a 329 night guard own in leather concealment holster.

Only way I carry. Lcp in fobus or kahr in leather desantis holster on my side. T-shirt gets it done.

In Oregon, I wear a light tank t-shirt (to keep gun away from skin) under a Hawaiian shirt for OWB carry 8-9 months out of the year. Nobody knows & printing (a little printing is ok with me) is pretty non-existant, even with the larger guns. :D

Thanks everyone!
What a surprise this was. OWB doesn't hardly get mentioned at all when a person searches for cc holsters. Yet, apparently it is much more common than I ever thought.
Time to go looking at OWB holsters. See what the local shops have for starters.

A good belt is every bit as important as the holster. Makes all the difference in comfort and stability especially if your carrying a medium to large steel gun.

I do occasionally carry IWB but find OWB so much more comfortable and better access for me too.

I wore it to my wife's 40th High School reunion saturday night. All my girlfriends were in her class, kind of a sad depressing fun night, probably last time I'll ever see them. But lots of hugging and groping and I didn't get noticed once.
Well the wife noticed about every time but had nothing to do with the gun.

I Carry OWB any time it's possible to cover. It's either that or in a pocket since I've never found a comfortable IWB holster, and I think I've tried them all. The Remora probably comes the closest, but I don't even like that one. Since I carry a variety of guns I use a variety of holsters, but all are leather.

I hear ya brother, I hear ya. I think its close to time to trade one 60 for 3 20's but that would surely drive me insane. Even more than I already am.

I'm a little late here, but...
I normally carry OWB, with either a CW9 in a Bulldog medium belt slide or a Colt Lightweight Commander in a Wilson Combat Lo Profile worn at 4 O'clock. I usually wear a tucked T shirt for comfort and an untucked unbuttoned dress shirt for a cover garment, but a long tailed T shirt will conceal either rig fairly well.

I also sometimes pocket carry a Ruger Sp101 as I don't have an OWB holster for it yet.

Is that a Hogue Handall Jr on the CW380? How well does it fit?

Yes, it's a Handall Jr. It fits, but just barely with no room to spare. The top edge just touches the bottom of the mag release button, and the bottom edge is flush with the bottom of the grip. I'm still not sure if I'm going to leave it on or remove it. Going to the range tomorrow morning; will run 20-30 rounds through it and then decide.

Mine fits right up to the mag release also............................I really like the way that it feels,............. so much so, that I took off the Pachmayr that I had on my Sig, and replaced it with a full size Handall.

i carry a glock 19. and i have both a IWB and OWB. when i carry OWB i usually have it with the front clip lining up with my seem on my pant leg. and i have put in the back on my right hip and love it. it completely disappears. i have a leather back and kytenx body. i got both of my IWB and OWB at Gold Star Holsters. they are great. and they have a lot of different options to choose from. you should go check them out on their website. www.goldstarholsters.com

I'm a fan of OWB. Often carry a P9 or P380 in leather holsters I picked up on ebay or Tagua gunleather holsters. Just ordered a holster multipack from Alien Gear which included a hybrid OWB holster, and has shells for both of my Kahrs. I'm hoping it becomes my new favorite OWB rig. And I have a nice 5.11 gunbelt with a loop around and through style buckle and velcro to keep it from loosening up under the weight of the gun.
