Well with a lot of advice from my new Kahr friends I picked up that MK40 that a local shop had. From the serial # it was made in 1999 but it dosesn't seem to be used much. I hope to get out this Sat. and put some rounds through it. I also made this pocket holster for it and at first it didn't have the mag pouch but the pockets on my cargo shorts are big enough the holster would tip sideways now it works great and doesn't add too much weight and I will always have a spare mag. Let me know what ya'll think:cool:

Very nice pistol. I understand why you were horny to buy it. But that extended magazine doesn't do the gun justice.
Nice job on the holster. How will you perform a mag change when your spare magazine is in the pocket of your strong hand?

Thanks for the compliment on the holster. I have ordered another flush mag that will be carried in the holster ,the extended mag will be on my belt on the left side .I realize tactically that position is not ideal but it is another 5 rounds available. I will have the flush mag in the gun while its in my pocket.

That is my plan and I have a Galco Yaqui slide for strong side OWB carry. with the 6 round mag on the left side

Here is the first 25 rounds that I shot with my new used MK40 .It was shot at 10 yards and the group isn't very impressive but it is minute of badguy. 11268
The bonus was I went up on the hill with 50 rounds of 40S&W and came home with 107 pieces of 223 brass,64 rounds of 9MM,31 45ACP and 28 extra pieces of 40S&W brass plus all the original 50.11269

SG - good for you! Nice holster - looking at one like it myself. I have one for my Ruger LCP but there are times when I want .40 caliber of stopping power and not .380.
Again - congrats on the new weapon.
