Rounds Falling out of Magazine

I can't remember the last time I used my extended magazine at the range. I took it out of my little eBay magazine carrier and emptied it prior to taking it to the range. I was a little surprised to have five rounds I in my hand. Thinking nothing of it, I took it to the range where it and the CM9 performed flawlessly, again.

When I went upstairs this morning after a thorough cleaning, I pulled two more rounds of Hornady out of a box. I loaded up the magazine. When I grabbed the mag carrier, I heard a rattling. I turned it upside down and two rounds fell out!

I had heard of this happening before, but after Greg's video and the fact it had not happened to me, I was skeptical, till today. It is not something I feel I need to worry about, but rather a reminder that I need to check my backup magazine every day I carry.

Did they slide out forward or pop out the top, straight up?

I wish I knew. I didn't even know they had come out till this morning.

I have had the top round slide out going forward so I now use a mag holder that is just large enough to put the mag into it and it is snug on all 4 sides.
