380 Questions?

I just purchased a used CW 380. I have a few questions about it. 1) The feed ramp is highly polished. Do 380's come this way, or is it most likely the previous owner polished the feed ramp? 2) When dry firing, the slide seems to rise up a small amount from the frame. Is this usual, or is it a sign that either the rails, or the slide, is significantly worn? And, 3) what's the secret to remove the "Slide Back" cover plate? The extractor pin won't move when I try to depress it. Thanks.

1) Kahr does an excellent job on the ramps
2) That's normal..cocking cam is pulling back on the striker.
3) It's a small hole to the right...see vid.

Got it. A punch is too large. Just the outside part of the hole, allows the extractor pin to be pressed in. Thanks.

Most guys will tell you to detail strip the slide inside of a large zip lock bag, so you don't lose any of the parts. I tried that and damn near suffocated. Lets be careful out there. :)
