I've got 2 we bought for trap:
Weatherby SA-08 for me
CZ 720 Youth for the Mrs.
I'm not too concerned about the Weatherby. I bought it used and it's been real strong for 6 months of pretty frequent trap shooting. I put a Briley ext IM choke on it and I'm happy.
I bought the CZ based on it's low price since the Mrs. rarely goes with us but she does like to shoot. We've shot it twice with good results. Recoil OK and operations 100%. However, when I check the interweb reviews, I get everything from: "great buy" to "not worth owning". I guess it doesn't matter what's on the web as long as we're happy but I was just curious if there are others out there with experience with CZ auto-loading shotguns.
FYI - if there are others out there considering a Turkish shotgun, I say "thumbs up" based on my experience so far.
Thanks!

I'll give them a "thumbs up" as well.:)
I have a Mossberg SA20 All Purpose in 20 ga. and a Charles Daly Field in 12 ga.
I believe the Mossberg is pretty much the same gun as Weatherby's SA-08. I had some failures to feed with it on my first outing (shooting clay), took it home, did some polishing/cleaning, and it hasn't missed a beat since. It's my main bird gun now.

The CD Field was a pawn shop purchase that I've never had a mechanical issue with it. I probably shoot it as well (if not better) as any of my other shotguns. It's my first choice in 12 ga. for birds and such. It's sure a bit lighter to tote around than my 1100 or Savage Fox BDE:w00t:
As far as the CZ offerings go, I wouldn't mind having a straight grip Ringneck in 16ga.

Thanks Greg. I'm not a big side-by-side fan but the straight grip is way cool. Good luck finding one. :D

I heard that they " gobble up" to much ammo:p

I had a CZ Ringneck for 3-4 years ... all my hunting/shooting buddies could shoot it better than I could. Nice Turkish walnut, and although I didn't really care for the barrel finish myself, the "black chrome" was well done. It did have to go back to CZ USA for trigger work in the first couple of months but was fine after the return.
My old friend Bob, and Ed, used to take those Turkish O/U's you could get at Walmart for $299, and ream the chokes out. My other friend Ken would take 50 or 58 cal muzzleloader barrrels, and turn them down to fit TIGHT inside the shotgun bores. He also made up some removable breech plugs for the same. Made a nice two shot O/U double muzzleloading rifle! They did those up for some customers too. POI for the two barrels was plenty good enough for hunting in muzzleloader season, out to 100 yards or so (maybe two inches divergance).

My experience may not help but I bought a Winchester SXP Defender which is based on the 1300 pump gun. It's Turkish. Unfortunately, the mag tube can't be extended easily because as an important it has to be made that way.
It's a great gun. The action felt really slick and well worn in off of the shelf.
I sold it to buy a nice, used Benelli m1 super 90 tactical but I really have no complaints about the SXP other than a lack of aftermarket parts whereas you you could slap a flux capacitor on an 870 or 500 of you want.
Personally, I think the Turkish know how to turn out a good weapon.
