Serbu Super Shorty Update

Been giving regular updates on my quest for a Serbu Super Shorty 6.5" barrel 12gauge Remington 870 (3 shot 2-1/4")

Over the weekend, I got my ATF Form 4 from Serbu - with a serial number for the shotgun they're building for me! Yes!

Today, back to Serbu got mailed Form 4 in duplicate, and the five bucks to BATF for the tax stamp.

Reported wait for AOW in Florida is 6-10 months. So the wait begins.

The latter. But thats a given. Thinkin nice Harley mounted scabbard....that converts to an over the shoulder. Totally encased of course. And pillow duty. Cant forget pillow duty. And cool at the range!!

I have a pistol grip, long barreled (18.5"), mossberg 500. it's a handfull. (usually have to yell a cuss word after pulling the trigger. hehehehehe.) good luck and hold on tight.

I run full power slugs and don't shoot a bunch.
I'd be looking at some tactical low recoil stuff with a shorty like that.

I have played with short shotguns..... they don't seem to bother me much. Or, too much. I had an 870 18.something inch, with pistol grip. It did ok.

Read today that KelTec is getting brought to court - some idiot shot part of his hand off when his forward grip broke.

Fortunately, the Serbu grip is steel, not polymer.

Damn, maybe they should have affixed a warning label, something like if this front handle thingy breaks you could blow part or all of your hand off. Also if you pour hot coffee on your lap it might cause discomfort and pain.

Sights!? don't need no stinking sights. you get your favorite taylor/seamstress to build you a bag with cross chest strap (kydex holster system inside). easy to carry, goes on the passenger seat for driving. here's old hickok45 blasting away-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_pXTItRtkc seems to be a versatile tool.
