Got the first one a week or so ago, liked it so much, I had to get a second one immediately.

Same great trigger pull. This one has a little corner on the trigger that needs rounding out though. No biggie for me to do, others may ***** about it though.

And this one has a really nice white stripe on the front sight, that the first one didn't have. First one had just a serrated ramp.

Birthdates for the two - about six weeks apart. Can't help but think that Ruger is pinning whatever sights they have available on 'em.

And, like the first one, it took several hundred dry firings to smooth up the rough spots, in typical Ruger fashion.

You are making a compelling argument. Mrs. B4 has taken command of the SP101 so maybe this is the way to go. I like having a concealable .357/.38sp. I'm still thinking LCRx... for some reason I like having the hammer.

Thanks!;)

I found a revolver fits real nice in a front pocket back in March. I looked at the lcr real close but found a .38 j frame that I bought instead. I liked the lcr a lot though.

Trigger corner smoothed without disassembly - careful use of a Craytex wheel followed by a felt wheel with some black white compound.

Agreed, it fits in the front pocket VERY well, and also the inside vest pocket.

Weight - negligable. Won't replace the PM45's or the PM9J for that matter, but its just another alternative.

I've got one of the first SP101's ever made, and it still sports the original (and from what I hear "collectable") green Xenoy grips. Its .38 only, but not to worry. Three and an eight inch barrel. GREAT shooter.... deadly pointing ability. Has had countless.... and I mean countless dry firings and maybe 1000 live firings. Smooth as greased owl ****. It's just a wee bit too big for pocket carry, and its heavy compared to the LCR. I like both.

My thought was get the .357, shoot 38's. If its made for .357 it should withstand a lifetime of .38 rounds. Or so I hope.

I'm ok with DAO. Ladies often have problems with DE-cocking a hammer. DAO works for them too. Very safe. Long pull. Open cylinder and your're 100 percent safe.

Trying to get both to the range this weekend.... we'll see how it goes
