Finally picked up my first kahr last nite. Took it the range this mornin with my 12 year old son. Shot about 40 rounds through it, and I love it. Trigger is very nice, it felt very smooth and crisp. Recoil was not bad, very controllable. My son had no problems handling it, and enjoyed shooting it. I am impressed, and this will not be my only kahr. I'm already trying to decide which one I'll be getting next

Most posts on the forum talk about what a sweet trigger the CW45 has. Mine is no exception. Any reason this is so? Discussion anyone?

I think the whole c0cking cam method makes it that way. It is sweet.

My wife has 2 Taurus's, a tcp in 380 and a millennium pro in 9mm that she alternates carrying. She shot my 45 this evening, now she's wanting to look for a cw9 for herself :)

If she shot and likes yours why step down to a 9? One caliber, shared magazines, shared holsters and the baddest girl on the block with her 45.
I ask this because at a Winchester ammo seminar I've mentioned before they had a corrections officer (female) shooting the samples of 9 and 40, then a guy shooting the 45.
I was right next to the shooters all day long and chatted. I finally asked how come she shoots the 9 and 40 and the guy shoots the 45. She said she couldn't handle the 45????

It was towards the end and I asked if she had shot the 45 much. She admitted that no she hadn't much but was told it was too much for her.
I told her she'd been shooting all day to grab the guys 45 and shoot it for comparison.

Long story short I don't think she's shooting a 9 much anymore and she liked it better than the 40.

The cm45 is a good shooter. Shoots as good as the cw45. I have the cm9, cw45, and the cm45 and had thd cw9. honestly I dont think there is that much difference in recoil. The cm45 is smaller than the cw9 but gives a full grip where the cm9 doesn't making the 45 even more manageable.

There's lots of options out there.

I'm gonna get her to shoot it more. She said it handled great, she just wasn't fond of the extra recoil compared to what she's used to. She was pretty accurate with it. I think if she shoots it more, it'll grow on her. ( I think she just wants the purple framed cw9 )

have the cw 45 but would consider a cw 9 as a back up or summer carry. love the 45, less recoil than a lot of 9's

Well, after more shooting, she went with a 45 of her own.... She got one this afternoon. Cw45, we're going to the range with it in the morning. She took a long time to decide, but as long as she's happy, I'm happy

Its a sweet gun. Be sure to follow all the break in procedures. After a 100 rounds it gets noticeably better. After 200 it should be functioning perfectly with improved accuracy. That weapon has got to be one of the best values out there...

I have a CW45, surprised at the light recoil. I also like the large impressive hole in the front!
