Anyone have any luck with promags? Suggestions for buying magazines that are cheaper than usual websites? How many mags do you guys use to practice with? Thanks.

I have a bunch of aftermarket mags, either Promag or triple K, (they are unmarked), that work just fine in my P9 and K9. These are both 7 and 8 round capacities. I also use the mags I have for my T9 and TP9 in my P9 and K9 when I practice. That gives me about 20 mags total so Idon't have to reload much. I get extra mags for the guns I shoot a lot. I hate paying for "reload time".
Here's a pick of all four, 7, 8, 7 and 8 round mags with a 8 round in the gun.

Thanks. Looks good. I thought the same thing the last time I went shooting: I was paying for the reloading!

I tried ProMag long ago with my CW9, the first one didn't work, got a replacement also a no go. I stay away from ProMag for Kahr. I have had good luck with their mags working with my CZ75....

Similar experience with a ProMag in a 9mm SIG P228. The magazine body was so soft, recoil against the magazine catch caused the catch slot to peen outwards. I dressed the slot several times with a file but was never able to stop the peening and the slot just continued to grow. In all fairness, ProMag replaced the magazine on warranty but I haven't tried the replacement yet. Now I prefer sticking with OEM magazines even though they are more expensive. Not to say this will be the case with all ProMag magazines. You'll just have to try them and see.
I must say I'm impressed with the stainless steel OEM P9 magazines. Other than burnishing out some rough edges on the inner magazine feed lips, they've worked 100%!
