Had some scraps laying around so I made good use of them, though the scraps were 8-10oz leather I plained them down a bit, more so the gun flap its probably 5-6oz now : )...

I plan to place a pouch under the grip for an extra mag as it fits there perfectly.. I have a Houge Handall grip but like a slimmer profile for carry so a fashioned an inner tube, I have yet to shoot it with the tube grip but it feels good and adds really no noticeable thickness..

With 6+1 of corbon +p hp the LCP weighs an astonishing 12.5oz

Daze, your job looks great. I hope yours works better than mine did, as I put the smooth side out, too. Reworked it with the rough side out and it was much better on staying put in the pocket on drawing.

thanks... these are actually two pieces of leather sewn together, the pocket is sewn to the back (wallet) side... the wallet side has the rough texture to it facing the pocket.. I've played with it a bit and it does in fact stay in the pocket when I pull the gun...

If your wallet holster does stick to your gun you can still shoot the perp while he's laughing hysterically. In that way he can go with a smile on his face. :)

Good work, if it get's the job done. In the aerospace industry we judge by "fit, form and function" first and looks second.

I'm looking for something similar for a 642 J frame Smith. My skill set with leather is such I'm not going to try it. Might just be the time now for me to hook up with Beardog and commission a one off pocket rocket hanger.

Again, don't let these guys kid you theLastDaze, you done you're self fine.

thanks... yeah I'm into function first and foremost, being in the pocket its no big deal.. I've had a small hand at leather when I was making knives a lot but I'm no leatherman for sure...owb, it has to look purdy.... the wife's late step dad worked for boeing for years out here, some sort of machinist or something but I have a real nice adjustable rifle rest he tooled out of what ever steel you guys are using, not sure what its made from but its real nice and iirc appears to be like 3/8" stock.. beautiful tooling no doubt
