Since my PM9 and Ruger LCR/357 got stolen two weeks ago, I've been without backup for the PM45's. The PM9j was perfect for that. The LCR was more or less just... something to have as a companion to the .38 SP101 I've got. The PM9 and LCR have both been replaced and are due in Wednesday. In the meantime.... this followed me home.

A nice little J frame stainless .357. A little heavier, little longer barrel than the Model 60 I had back in the 1980's. Then again, its rated to fire .357's. I plan to shoot 38s. Its unfired. Sat under a bed for a couple of years, and the owner thought it was too heavy (for under the bed?).

As you can see, I've taken Herr Zuberkut Fein to the grip, which formerly extended down another 7/8 inches. Since this is a clearly a case of "yubitsume" I'll let Makita-san do its belt sanding to clean up the unruly work done by the "krautzaw".

There will be a set of Badger grips inbound shortly.

Anyway - for $250 and a few boxes of .38's, it wasn't such a bad deal, so .... I guess I own anothe S&W.

Nice find CJB!
I see you're going to get some Badger grips for it. Have you looked at Altamont as an alternative?

I have that same set on my wifes 638. Very comfortable. I got the thin version for my aunts 638.

Looks like the 640 that resides in my bedroom. I am a huge believer in CT grips on my snubbies.
