View Full Version : New PM9 and LCR due in tomorow...
As much as the situation is all negative, I'm still looking forward to the new PM9 and popping off the hottest 9mm Parabellum ammunition I can get my hands on to break it in.
As for the LCR... just a bunch of dry firing will break it in just fine.
One good thing, the Seiko diver replacement is running within COSC standards at +3.5 seconds a day, better than the old Rolex Submariner thought about.... !!
Thanks for all the well wishes too!

good news, I've heard someone mention to lock the slide back and leave it that way until you take it out shooting (day or so)... sounds fairly reasonable but I've never tried it nor had to (never owned a Kahr), I may do it when my cw380 gets here... and of course I'll be racking the sucka....
take care
Locking the slide back does minimal to help break in. Gun springs need vigorous cycling along their full compression to "become" the spring they were designed to be. The best break in is the hottest, most vigorous cycling ammo you can get your hands on.
Yes, do the prep. Check the slide stop spring too. That spring is the cause of many grievenaces! Then shoot it like you stole the fokker!
Going for cut rate, El Chapo Supreme ammo for the break in.... is an adventure in frustration. You can shoot that stuff (probably) after your break in, but while going down the road of getting things all smoothed out... go for the hottest you can get.
