Sorry if this question has been asked before but I need some help. I am having a difficult time with the magazine release button on my PM45. I thought the problem would go away after 300 rounds and repeated handling/dropping the mags, but it is still hard to drop a mag. I find I still have to rotate the pistol around in my hand enough to get a square head on push with my thumb. It then drops but only about a quarter of an inch. I still have to grab the mag and pull it out. I don't want it to fall into the next county when I push the release button but it is unlike any other gun I own. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.:amflag:
With the pistol unloaded, the slide open, can you manipulate the magazine release in anyway way that will result in full release?
If yes... you might have a learning curve still.
If no... then you'll need to see of the mag is the fault or the pistol.
Some time ago, there were 9mm mags that sort of had a "swell" and would bind lighly in the mag well - the correction was to squeeze them ever so slightly in a smooth jawed vice. Ever... ever so slightly.
See if you can try a mag from another Kahr 45 cal pistol. They should all fit and fire
Worst case, you have a slightly out of spec mag well - its an easy fix for Kahr - or yourself if you feel ok with it.

You can try a 1911 mag too, is should slip right in also.
I polish my mags, get that satin finish off them and then paste wax. They polish up really easy and quick.
This may help but not solve your issue. Squeezing the mag a bit as CJB suggested is probably the next step. You can check that with a caliper to see if it flares out a bit at the feel lips.
Look closely in the mag well for mold left overs or anything that could be cleaned up a bit with some sandpaper.
