Well I got to shoot my new CW380 fresh back from the service at Kahr and I am very happy with the results.
Ammo fired,I used as wide a variety as I could scrape together in the last few weeks.
44rd Remington umc round nose
10rd Remngton umc hollow point
25rd American Eagle
50rd Winchester white box flat nose target
13rd PMC Starfire hollow point
7rd Federal hydra shok hollow point
The gun performed flawlessly through 149 rounds,I had one hiccup which was my fault as I was rapid firing and limpwristing it one handed with my non dominant hand, just to see what it would take to make the gun malfunction and it failed to clear the empty casing.
I gotta say Kahr did a great job making this thing run smooth,I was worried about the flat nosed winchester stuff but it pushed right through them, even rapid fire.

That's great. Seems like you were right about the recoil springs.

Good dealio. Can you check the gun for me? I'm interested to see how the orientation of the inner and outer were installed assuming the springs both have open ends..

That's great news!

Rob - open ends of the springs toward the muzzle.

Good hear that your CW380 is in good order.

Okay I was just wandering and thought that's how I remembered it but I changed them opposite ways, inner spring open end is facing chamber while the outer spring is facing muzzle.... Worked fine at the range, but I'll change 'em back.. thanks

I've had the gun apart so many times I wasn't sure.. :)

As David said open ends toward the muzzle,I got confused early on too,I ended up looking up pictures on the web to verify which wway they went..lol
I wish they did go the other way,it would make installing the springs and guide rod allot easier.
I am so happy to have this gun working,I carried it today for the first time, with confidence.

I may get a slip on grip if I keep range shooting, that grip texture does its job very well but beats up my tender digits a bit.

What are both of you using for carry ammo?

For now I am using the PMC Starfire but I looked it up online and was not impressed,I plan to grab some Hornady critical defense when I find some,to test for function as I would prefer to carry with it.

Hornady Critical Defense has been flawless in my CW even before it was returned to Kahr. Federal Hydra Shok is another good round but I'm still having some trouble with that one. Both are readily available. I haven't tried Speer Gold Dot in a 380 but those are readily available too.

As you had no trouble with the flat-nosed Winchester you might check out Lehigh XP. It's expensive and you'd want to make sure it cycles in your CW.

.380 ammo is at times a little hard to get in my area(NY) so it may take a awhile to find the hornady, the hydra shoks I used were the seven that I had in my diamond back that I traded in.
I carry the critical defense in my 9mm and really like it,I will look into that lehigh ammo aswell.
Thanks for the advice.

Am I remembering correctly that in NY you can't order ammo and have it delivered to your home? That would definitely make it harder to find ammo.

That would indeed be correct part of govorner Cuomo's "safe act",I pray we get that law repealed and I also hope Cuomo dies a slow pain full death.
