Now I kind of resemble that thar remark. That was my beverage of choice when in Missouri. We've only recently been able to find it here in Wa. Of late I've been sticking to Busch Lite. I reckon the Ruskies will be after it next.

Red necks, white socks, and blue ribbon beer. I used to drink PBR when I was 18. They hadn't raised it to 21 yet then.
And the link didn't work for me so I don't know what's going on. :)

Off the table Mabel, the nickel's for the beer.
That's all I got.
That and the fact that Lone Star beer was considered horse pizz when I was in high school. We drank lots of it anyway.

Never been a fan of PBR nor Lone Star, but less of a fan of American businesses going overseas. Doesn't Beck or some other German company own Bud nowadays? At least Miller/Coors is still in the USA...for now.

PBR tastes like real beer is supposed to taste like. Up here, we call Miller, swiller. Champaign of garbage beer. No flavor, goes flat almost immediately. Probably why it sells so well. People can't take real beer. The best.................Hackershore Octoberfest in an iced mug..........doesn't get much better................

yep we have a school that is trying to teach inner city youths that are difficult to teach due to behavior problems and the public schools are failing them. So here is a school set up to teach this group of kids and now we have a problem with that because of the Muslim/Turk connection? What about the kids? Are they learning? Are they going to have the education to be productive members of society? Isnt that the real issue? If it were Russian teachers would we have a problem? Filipino? The average white homegrown teacher doesn't want the job. These kids cant get a break.

America imported college professors from Nazi Germany. They were political enemies of Hitler. And they happened to be Marxists, but hid it from the public. We thought they were just European intellectual elites. They taught their Marxism to America's young skulls full of mush for decades.

OK understood and what are the damages caused by that? I am not trying to be flippant here. Are you saying that if this group of people were not educators, the socialist party wouldn't exist here in the U.S? Are you saying that there would be less social programs in the U.S? IOW, what impact has that had on the U.S? I am worried that the terrorists are winning....we are becoming afraid--so afraid that we are eating ourselves from the inside out.

No one can say "what if..." with any certainty. With this issue, it's so complex you'd have to go back and undo about a hundred or more events to prevent the US from becoming as socialist as we've become. I believe Political Correctness took hold because Americans became intellectually lazy and didn't see it coming. The perpetrators were very sneaky, and slipped it in disguised as the opposite of what it was.
What impact has it had on the US? It has slowly destroyed our culture and our political system. Perhaps not single-handedly, but if those Illuminati folks wanted any help, the Marxists gave it to them, wittingly or unwittingly.

I had almost given up drinking and lost 40 pounds since June, but given the way this thread has been turned, I may just start again.

Pabst used to come out with a Bock beer every spring. I was told that that was the beer from the bottom of the vats that were being cleaned. It was very dark and thick, kind of like a Guinness Stout. I loved that stuff and would stock up on as much as I could afford. That's about the only Pabst I drank. I was mostly into Dark European beers and ales, St. Pauli Girl Dark was my go to beer. Various other dark beers would do when I couldn't find St. Pauli Girl. Heineken Dark was usually available, after that, I don't really remember what brands it went down too. They didn't have much micro-brewery stuff back then, so it was mostly large brands. I imagine Guiness Stout would have been the next choice. I remember when Michelob came out with a dark beer, but it wasn't even close to the European brands. I remember a few experiences with Bass Ale.
I was on a Red Stripe kick after a trip to Jamaica, it seemed funny to order a Budweiser and get charged for a "foreign" beer so I drank a lot of Red Stripe and Dragon Ale brewed in Jamaica. I had brought a couple of cartons of Marlboros and you could trade a pack of them for quite a few things, the locals called them "Big Time" cigarettes, since they were pretty expensive there. But everyone was eager to trade something for a pack. You could also get a good deal if you paid in American currency instead of the Jamaican dollars. I looked around for some Cuban cigars a few places but no one seemed to have any. I guess they didn't import them due to pressure from the USA or something. The Jamaican cigars were not bad at all though. The hotel we stayed at was kind of out away from everything, and next door was "The Mall" a collection of thrown together huts, that sold all kinds of T-Shirts and Souvenirs, and hair shops that braided the ladies hair like Bo Derek's in that movie 10. I think most were a front to sell wacky tobaccy from. As several asked if I was interested in something for the head or something to that effect. It was kind of funny, each shack had a sign on it that was said something like Saks 5th Avenue, Tiffany's, Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears, or some other well known store. Each had mostly the same t-shirts. But the different shacks all had different other knick-knacks, wood carvings, shell necklaces, a lot of Aloe oil, and other hand crafted items. I tried a bottle of the local Aloe, but it had the distinct smell of the local workers in it, which wasn't very appealing.

I remember the marketing hoopla over Corona beer. I used to drink that junk in Mexico bc it was the cheapest junk you could buy. Some yuppies bought in and marketed to the US market and we pay $9 a bottle for the crap at a bar.

If Bud used the Guinness widget cans, I have a feeling it would be a hell of a nice beer. I gave up on beer 'cause it never tastes fresh. I guess no one stores or transports it right. And we have a Bud brewery here in town. I've tasted it fresh from the tap, like mother's milk. The cans and bottles taste like sewer water.
I blame the marxists.

Genessee. Plain red and white can --- $12.95 for a 30 pack. It's about quantity not quality. :amflag:
If I'm feeling top shelf I spring for the PBRs @ $15.95 for a 30 pack.
