Just received my new Kahr CT9. Love the feel of the gun.
I thought I'd add a picture of it in my Shield SHTF holster. Fits
good I think. Maybe just a hair long but I'll wear it and see. It draws out fine.

Congrats on the new ct9. They are a little long of grip but sure do shoot well and you do get around that longer grip for carry'n.

I don't think it will be bad. I iwb a Ruger SR9 sometimes.
This pitol is so light and narrow it begs to be carried.

I know I am already trying to decide between a CW9 or CT45.
This pitol has quickly became my favorite to shoot. It is accurate
light weight and of course the trigger.

DO you feel it is practical for everyday concealed carry? Or is the grip too long?

I think it is fine for everyday carry. I have been carrying it for 2 days now and I find it perfect. I like it better than my Shield 40 so it will be going
off to a new home and I will replace it with another Kahr.

I have right at 1 year and 7 months CC my tp40. No issues at all but Iw ear a pistol different than any other I have might. The pistol sits around a 2:00 CC position barrel canted forward grip to the rear so its parallel to my belt carried high enough to sit and drive with it.

overtheedge remember for that ct45 is a wider 1.01 wide slide, you may have to buy a wider holster !

Give underwood ammo a try. price well for 50 rounds . The "bonded " bullet is speers generic gold dot. The jacketed hp is nosler

True the CT 45 is wider which is why I'm leaning towards the CW9
over the CT45.
We'll see though.

Easier when all ammo is the same and you can use the ct9 mags in the cw9 if needed.

My new CT-9 is being delivered to the FLL today, If it comes before the store closes then hopefully I can bring it home today.

I paid $284 + $3 insurance + $25 FFL transfer fee.

This will be my first Kahr and my first 9mm. Looking forward to it, already got my can of brake cleaner and gun oil ready to go

You'll like it. This was my first Kahr and love it. Not one malfunction from
round one.
Needless to say this has quickly became one of my favorite guns.

Got it today and will be taking it to the firing range tomorrow. Did the brake cleaner and no gunk at all was to be found in the striker channel assembly, I sprayed the hell out of it and inside all 3 little holes just to be sure. Then cleaned the entire gun and lubricated.

It sure takes alot of force to load the 9mm bullets into the magazine when I got to round 5 I had to really use all my strength. Hope that magazine spring will lose some of that tension with time!

Also to lock the slide back also takes considerable force. My last 2 guns where 22lr caliber so this is all new to me.

Looking forward to my range trip and still waiting for my Remora holster to come in the mail so I can IWB carry it. It seems okay the only problem I see is that large protrusion at the bottom of the magazine, if only it where flush or if Kahr would make a magazine that had a flush bottom it would be great for everyday CCW.

I can definitely see that I would have been better off with the CW9 but I would have had to pay the $30 penalty fee (because I wanted to change my order) in addition to the CW9 was an extra $50 and I just didnt want to spend an extra $80 so I took the risk to buy the CT9.

I traded in my old Smith and Wesson 22-A1 , (the old generation) and the pawn shop offered me $50 cash plus he would waive the $25 FFL transfer fee (on the CT9) so I said okay (Its a $75 value in the end). I had no use for the 22-A it was way too heavy and large to carry. And I had bought it used for $150 and it was all scratched up. Also it would routinely have failure to feed issues and it would eject the magazine on its own every 15 rounds or so. And I tried 6 different brands of ammo.

Based on that I will never buy a used gun again.
