The Canik 55 TP-9 Very interesting and not as ugly as a Glock.

I once owned a P99............................the Canik puts the mag release in a better place, the triggers are similar, and I don't like where that decocker is located. Better looking than a P99, anything looks better than a Glock, but I would pass................didn't like the P99.......................but interesting.....................I am sure that there are many, who would like the firearm.

I'm thinking of getting one for use as a house gun. At $300 per pop I don't think that I'd miss it as much as one of my Kahr pistols should the need arise that I shoot someone and the police confiscate it.

The guy doing the video actually said no issues and then goes on to say issues with first couple mags because of leftover debris in the striker channel. Doesn't sound to promising

Every gun has teething problems. Even Glock perfection wasn't perfect when they first brought out the gen 4s. Besides, I like to tinker.

I noticed that too. No muggsy but the Gens 1, 2, 3 were perfection from the get go.

A buddy of mine has one and he said the only reason for buying is CHEAP. If stolen, no biggie. He also stated that to him the Canik was more like a HighPoint pistol.
Not the best in the hand, but cheap and goes bang.

Canik makes pistols for the Turkish military and police. I don't think that High Point can make that claim.
