Took my PM9 to the range today along with a couple 380's, dropped 350rds through her.... I now have over 1K rounds through her and NOT ONE FAILURE !!!! of any kind.......
Beauty of it is when I broke it down to clean it I can now grab the slide like I do when I break down my Glocks and using my finger I can press out the slide lock/take down lever.....
easy peasy..... LOVE THIS GUN..............
that is all,

Yeah, they get easier to take apart after awhile. I was appreciating mine the other day too, 5 years old, never a hiccup of any kind. It is even the earlier, more compact "J" version.

Love mine. Have about 1000+ rounds down the tube.
I replaced the magazine spring as it stopped reliably doing the "Kahr lift" on the top round. So perhaps magazine springs should be replaced on the Kahr more frequently than some pistols.
I didn't measure the trigger pull when I got it....It's about 2 years old with no external safety. Used a trigger pull gauge several times at all positions on the trigger and it breaks 5 1/2 # so the springs must indeed set after some use....
I did do the "trigger job" that I do on all pistols that I do not and should not/will not modify. I use a moly paste with a mineral spirit carrier on an acid brush and tamp the areas like the cam, striker, etc in the slide generously. Same to the trigger return spring, trigger extension, etc. Repeat. Wipe off the excess. Set aside for the carrier to evaporate. Detail wipe it where I don't want it... Voila! Probably worth 1/2 to 1# less weight.
Mine also operates 100% without using the slide stop to close the slide. I close/rack it Israeli style....no problems.
I clean it every 200 or so rounds with Simple Green and water. Blow out the water with compressed air. Liberally apply Break Free and blow it out with compressed air...all of it that's possible. Clean the bore. Then do the "trigger job" above again..
I highly recommend this weapon. Perfect CCW weapon.

yup, sure is a smaller one, not buy much but it is smaller. I call it the PMJ9. made back around 5 years ago. It is also called the blunt noxe version to. sit it and a new srtyle side by side and u will see the difference. Internals are all the same...

What would the serial number range be for the PMJ9 about 5 years ago? IB*?

What would the serial number range be for the PMJ9 about 5 years ago? IB*? I have no clue on that, if it has the blunt nose, then u can just email kahr with your serial number an d thewy will get u the birth date. I think if kahr still has any BLACK ROSE PM9, they will be of the blunt nost version..
