Picked up my CW380 last night!

Looking forward to getting to the range tomorrow. I was able to get 250 rounds of various 380. I have 100 wwb, 100 Aguila, and 50 Prvi Partizan. Praying for a good break in. I will be following the prep instructions that jocko posted. I have already racked the slide a bunch. Feels like it is loosening up.

Thats a good selection of ammo. If possible, run some round nose through it before you run the flat-nosed WWB and make sure the gun is clean when you run the WWB.

Don't know if it really matters but when breaking in a new gun, for me, its 50 rounds, clean, 50 rounds, clean, etc.

While I can see some value in dry racking the slide a bunch to "loosen up" and smooth out the gun, I think I would avoid the recommendation to keep the slide locked back for a couple nights, that some folks recommend. I think that recoil spring needs to be powerful in order to help avoid failure to return to battery. Some of that prep can overly weaken the recoil springs I think. While it makes racking the slide easier, there may be some cost to that.

I agree clean every 50 rounds (or after every range trip) for a while and lube the heck out of it, wherever there's metal on metal. The slide glides up front on two small metal strips that are hard to figure out initially (#10 on the lube diagram). Keep those well lubed. The gun likes to run "wet", more so than other guns, probably because the Kahrs are so "tight" from the factory.

I found that the slide stop release engagement tab is too long from the factory. A replacement from Kahr was just the same length, so I think it's just designed too long. If you get premature slide lock, that's how it shows up. Pretty easy to sand/file/grind that back a little, with the limit being that it still needs to engage the follower when it gets to the top of the empty magazine.

I had no problems on my first range trip with my CW380 and the WWB flat nose... All of those should do you for the break in. I had used the SEAL1 CLP prior to my range time and the crud just wiped off during the range session, I think this helped, so stop and clean every box or so....
