I have owned a couple of PM9's and sold them. I am looking to buy another one or maybe a CM9 since I still have holsters and extra magazines. I found a used Kahr PM9 in excellent condition with night sights for $400. It is an IB* serial number so it is the old style slide but the night sights are still bright. I am wondering if I should by the used Kahr PM9 or buy a new CM9 and install night sights on it. I know I would not have a warranty on the used one since it is from 2009 or so but I do like the more refined look of the PM9. I previously owned a new style and old style slide PM9 and did not find any difference in reliability but I am wondering if it is a better decision to go with a new CM9.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.

Every gun I have ever bought, which is a grand total of 7 in the past 18 months, has been a used one ... and I have never regretted a single purchase because of it being used. Your heart seems to want a PM9, so go with your heart. If you buy a CM9 because your head tells you to, then your heart will never allow you to be satisfied with it.

PM9 blunt? with strong night sights? No brainer.

My opinion is that if you want the warranty, get the CM9, if not, get the PM9. Just be aware if it is a flat nose PM9, apparently if you need a new barrel they will have to mill the frame to get the new barrel to fit.... Either will do you well, just don't sell this one....LOL

Great advice. BTDT.

Whatever happened to the men in this country. We used to be able to make good decisions on our own. Just sayin.

ok, it's night time, if your in a city, maybe some street lights. what do you see with night sites? fire the gun, now what do you see?

Follow your gut. In my opinion, owning the top of the line model always made me feel better.

My response, having reread your first sentence, is to pass on both until you've figured out why you've already "...owned a couple of PM9's and sold them".
BTW, between three guns my PM9 comprises most of my concealed carry. Don't think would not be unhappy with a CM9, but bought the PM9 when the CM9s were just coming out and not readily available.

I think I would ertanly want to test shoot the used PMJ9 to be sure it is reliable. It is a nce gun age should hav e nutting to do with reliabiity, i9f indeed it was reliable when traded in. Warranty should mean sumpin also, when buying anythig. the used price on the PMJ9 IMO is fair. Fopr sdure if a guns tore is selling u the used PMJ9 then get sumpin inwriting about maybe 30 or 60 day retrun priveledge etc. Looks mean nuttin as far as buying a pig in a poke. tuff decision ..

I've got to disagree with you on that statement, Jocko. Even when you were young you were unreliable. :)

That's okay. This particular discussion ended nearly 2 years ago. 😅😅😅😳😳
