Adam 12

Been watching old Adam 12 reruns. Just picked up Season 1 and started watching. Great show, I loved it as a kid when the episodes were new.

I'm relatively new to handguns and noticed right away that Malloy and Reed are carrying long barreled revolvers and the holsters do NOT cover the trigger. I had no idea police officers carried like that.

Revolvers with 4" barrels and longer were the way it was back them. The holster is called a "Clamshell". You release it by pushing a release button that requires you to insert your finger into the trigger guard and press the button that is just forward of the trigger. Google the term for some pictures.

Loved Adam 12 and Emergency which was on about the same time back in the day....I discovered Netflix when my wife was in the hospital last year and I watched a ton of those shows and Dragnet episodes on her laptop...Internet Netflix is awesome and it's really fun to relive all those old shows that we remember so well....

As a yound man I worked Adam 11 (no relation to Adam 12;)) on the Indianapolis Police Dept. Watching Adam 12 on Me TV always brings back memories.
