came home and set the cw9 on the key counter.. she first asked if it was loaded..

then asked if i could show her how to rack the slide to load one if shes at home and im gone..

so im thinking... if i leave my cw9 at home for "home protection" for the wifey.. logical thinking says i should get another gun for me to carry...

haha you all agree with me right??

I agree with your logic. However, if she's not interested in carrying, I can think of better options for a home defense gun.

Don't let logic muddy the waters.

We're strategizing to get another gun. pwilson, you are absolutely correct. I'd start shopping straight away.

You're being negligent if you dont buy one so you need to go out tonight.

Once I got my wife started, I can't keep up. Now we take turns buying guns. Sure is a lot easier when the wife likes going to gun stores as much as you do. I'd say run with it!! (Before she thinks too long)

CW9 is a good home gun, can be carried if needed. what a great excuse to get the wife into shooting and gun safety. now for a carry gun, look at a CM9(6+1 and takes the 7 and 8 round mags). my current carry is a CM9, 7+1, 135gr. hydra-shok.
(hold the empty gun in right hand with thumb on slide lock, index finger and thumb of left hand has a firm pinch on the slide serrations, bring the gun right up to the chest and move the slide back and lock it. good exercise for the pectoral muscles. brand new care is a workout for some.)

And if you get another CW, you can still get a " free " mag if done by 10-31-14.

I can't believe you took the time to post this before running out to buy your new gun.

Get her a pump action shotgun.

Easier to rack than a slide of Kahr, easier to aim, and what woman wouldn't like to hear that racking noise? *ch chhh*

You don't need a logical reason to buy another gun. Whenever my wife goes to the range with me, she shoots 100 rounds through her SIG P228 then she "lets" me clean it for her. Wow, am I lucky!

If your wife is at home with a loaded gun, you best not be coming home from places you shouldn't have been! Just sayin'

all purpose, one gun does any/everything. (got to wonder why cops that can't shoot handguns don't try these?)
