Hello;

I just got a PM45 and I could not be happier :D !!!!! I have spent far too much time trying out other pistols. End result was always being turned off when it came to carrying those cannons around. I began to wonder, what good is the pistol if it was sitting in my room back at the house. Then I started to do some research on the Kahr line of pistols. When I saw the PM45 in person I thought to myself "Man that must kick like a mule". I could not have been more wrong. I truly believe it has less recoil then the Glock 36 or maybe it is the grip that allows me to feel the kick differently. It has more recoil than my Sig P220 but then again weights about 2/3rds of the P220 so that does not come as a surprise. I would put it in the ballpark of the Kimber Ultra Carry II group for recoil. As for comfort of carry, there is no comparison the PM45 shines above all other 45 cal pistols out there.

Now I do not want to be labeled as a basher :33:of other makes of pistols, I still have my fair share of them. They all have proven to be good pistols, but as for my daily carry I truly like this PM45 due to its size, weight, size of caliber and accuracy in the distances that it is intended for. So for now I have a gem in my new PM45.

Well I just wanted to let you all know how happy I am with my new friend and also wanted to drop in and say hello.

Welcome, there's several recent new PM45 owners here, myself included. We've had a few issues that we dealt with but for the most part would agree with everything you've said. They are truely a gem. Unlike woman, it's perfectly ok to love or fondle more than one. In fact you can love one in the morning and another in the afternoon and they don't seem to care. I sometimes love 2 at the same time. I think jealousy does rear it's ugly head if you put one in the safe and neglect it for a time, but take it out and give it some love and it will still stay loyal to you.
Guns are also alot like womans anatomy if you see one, you want to see em all so bless us with photo's as the opportunity presents itself.
Enjoy that gem and stick around, we like it here.

Welcome to the forum. I would agree with Bawanna, I LOVE my PM45. I'd rather shoot it than any other gun I own. I've put about 350 rounds down range with nary a hiccup. I just love the trigger on it. Very smooth. I'm currently carrying Hydra Shoks in it. What do you plan on using for EDC? What are you using in yours Bawanna?

I'm using 230 gr Speer Gold Dots. I run them in all my 45's. Haven't really tried much else. We use Winchester SXT and it works well so I'd probably make that my second choice.

I am still waiting for mine...:( It's on order. I have had the PM 9 for 8 months, its my daily carry now. Gret shooter, easy to carry OWB, or in pocket (not jeans). The 45 should arrive the third week of July...

Welcome, and you made a good choice. I bought my PM45 in February and it has been perfect through about 500 rounds. It has relegated my old summer carry, a CW9, to being a range gun.

Just came back from the steel and it just makes me smile from ear to ear :D, My buddy went with and boy does he want one of these babys. Shot 100 round and not one problem. No matter what I put in it it just kept shooting. Got the Crimson Trace laser and sighted it in also. What a great little set-up. My buddy didn't even know I was wearing it until I pulled it out. Should have seen his eyes when he saw it. Then I left him shot it and he could not believe how well it shot for being so small. Now he's looking to buy one.

Can you tell I am a happy man right now!

Talk to you later, I've got to go tuck her in for the night.

I bought my pm45 back in Feb. also. Had a couple of issues with it sent it back to Kahr and they fixed it right up. No issues since. Ive tried several different makes of ammo. I like hydra-shok and hornnaday, powr-ball is real good too.

Jocko,

Just don't keep them in the same room or talk about the other one when they are around and you will be fine. Also jealousy can be a good thing. Each will try to be better then the other, in the end you come out the winner!:D

My CW45 and my K9 are in the safe together along with my Les Baer TRS 1911. They don't seem to be jealous of each other. I'm hoping they'll make another pistol.

I wonder what will happen if my wife's Kimber Pro Raptor and her Kel Tec P3AT get into the mix?

And welcome IBA.

A Pro Raptor and a Kel Tec mix??? Seek counciling dude. I'm not sure what it would end up being but I'm sure it would be qualified to be president. Well guess thats not saying alot, the bar fell out of the rack that used to hold it up.
I love those Raptors.
Now mate up your Les Bauer and your CW45 and we might really and truely have something.

Wouldn't a new thread, something like Jocko's NEW custom PM45 be a fine and wonderful thing? Think of it as another project to occupy your time maybe this winter and another place to lose some of that excess loot you got sewed up in your matress?

All in favor of Jocko stepping up to the 45, maybe even a P or a TP, don't matter, just something with big fat meaningful bullets.

So what if we have to sacrifice one piece of new chrome on the Harley, probably not much that ain't chromed anyhow. Jocko, Let's DO IT!

Wow, now you are making me think, I wonder if I put the bullets that are in my PM45 Kahr into my P220 Sig and my P220 bullets into my PM45 then lay them side by side. Would that give me a Sigahr:53:? Bet it could out smoke any other pistol out there:D.

Things that make you go HUMMMMMM.
