I have a cm9 with approximately 600 round through it. Slide locks back sometimes with rounds still remaining in the magazine. Federal 115 jhp.

Your thumb could be accidentally actuating the slide lock. The slide lock spring may need adjusting, or you might not be holding the gun with a firm enough grip.

I did think of possible actuating the slide lock accidentally. Think my grip is fine. Proper way to adjust slide lock spring?

before fokking with the spring, shoot it left handed and if the gun doesnt premature lock open then assume it is thumb related and need to concentrate more on ur grip..

Good articles. And thanks for the information. I did discover both of my magazines have broken followers. Less than two moths old. Not impressed

Broken followers are an ongoing problem with the CM9 but the good news is that Kahr usually fixes it quickly and covers the shipping both ways.

two broken followers, IMO it needs to go back tokahr. email kahr, attn Jay and state u have two broken followers and would like a prepaid pickup on ur gun. They will take care of u pronto. It happens, not good when it happens to you but get it into kahr asap..
