Hi guys i have a CW9 i bought last year and it has approximately 500-700 rounds thru it. I haven't had any problems with it but a week ago went up to my buds to shoot a little and i noticed that in order to fire my pistol i must pull my trigger all the way to the rear pretty much bottoming it out to make it fire. Any of you guys with this pistol have had the same problem? Thanks for looking and GOD bless

Completely normal. The long tigger pull is one of the safety features of the firearm. Chance this was overlooked prior?

Some end up just a smidge shorter than the others but its not really noticeably shorter.

Oh, and welcome aboard.

I bought my wife the same pistol at the same time i bought mine and hers has about 200 rounds thru it and her trigger releases a lot sooner than mine. I can put my slide on her frame and the trigger is normal but on my frame i literally have to pull the trigger till it touches frame before it will fire. This is my first kahr pistol and i love the little pistol for cc but im not sure whats wrong with the trigger. When i bought the pistol the trigger was like a normal da trigger but now its not right. guess i need to pull the frame down and see whats up

I wouldnt worry too much if it still fires and you have to pull it back a little farther than on your wifes gun. If you have to exert a lot of pressure that may be of some concern. May be you gun is broke in good where your wifes is not so much. I have a cm45 that has to be pulled all the way back.

I wouldnt think that you would have excessive trigger bar wear with so few rounds. Try this, empty your gun and your wifes gun and see where the reset is after pulling the trigger. You may see yours resets sooner. Either way i wouldnt worry as long as it functions ok. If you have real worries give kahr a call.

Good luck.

Could be that the plunger in the slide is being prevented from full travel.... that would restrict the movement of the cam.... and make it seem like the trigger was bottoming out, etc etc yada yada

Your gun needs to go back to Kahr for repair. The trigger should break a full 1/4 inch away from the frame. Your gun will eventually fail to fire and it could happen when you need it the most. This is a problem that Kahr Service is well aware of. I'd suggest that you call Kahr service ASAP. Request an RMA and prepaid mailing label.

first thing I would do is completely clean and dissasemble the slide inlcuding thge striker channel. U could have some machinery left over craola in that channel causing that. Once uy clean and relube, then again test fireiF IT BOTTOMS OUT, THEN IT NEEDS TO GO BACK`. iF U NOTIED A DIFFERENCVE IN THE TRIGGER TRAVEL FROM PRIOR rounds then indeed sumpin has changed. I tend to think muggsy who is seldom ever right, this time could be right. email kahr, attn: Jay state ur case ask for a prepair mailer pickup. U could have a trigger bar that for some reason has gotten out of whack...If cleaning the striker channel does not correct it, IMO STOP right there and contact kahr..
