I bought 150 rounds of Remington UMC .380 and shot 62 rounds today. I had multiple failure to return to battery issues. Afterwards I fired 2 mags of Critical Defense with no issues. This is after having no issues through 100 rounds of WWB and 25 rounds of Critical Defense on my last range trip. I seems that my CW380 doesn’t like Remington FMJ. Anyone else have issues with Remington?

Try PMC Bronze or American Eagle by Federal. My little CW380 ate up about 100 rounds of each without a single snort.

It's good stuff.

Avoid Tulammo like the plague!

Just did the check to see if the bullet on the Remington rounds hit the slide lock and they do. Would that cause the issue I'm having?

Fleet Farm had some 100 round boxes of Remington 88gr HP's and my CW380 ate them just fine.

Anything that causes the the slide to slow down could cause the gun to fail to go into full battery.

My CW380 is 100% with Critical Defense, PMC Bronze, and Blazer Brass.

Rem-UMC, WWB, Fiocchi, & Geco have all produced failures, from, I believe, being under powered.

PMC Bronze was good and TulAmmo was no good for my CW380

Not sure what you call it but check the other brands of ammo to see if they also hit the slide lock. I'd recommend not using the Remington vs. altering the slide lock or "fixing" anything. However, if all rounds hit the slide lock, the gun might need to go in for repair. And check that the slide lock spring is oriented/tensioned correctly. There was a recent thread similar to this that sounded like a spring issue vs. slide lock issue. gb6491 has a great video about how to properly tension that spring. Search for it if you need it.
