We were lucky in the near south MPLS suburbs. Less than 4 inches. From mowing grass to blowing snow in less than one day.

We don't have any snow, thank goodness but we sure got hit with cold. Suppose to be in the teens or single digits all week.
Me body don't like the cold much anymore. I gotta get me some tires on the back of the van or I won't be making the hill to get home.
Maybe I should just stay home, that would solve that issue huh?
Got a load of logs coming tomorrow, way too late as usual but maybe I can stay warm chopping wood that won't burn good till next winter....

We have been getting just a light snow since Monday but the temps have dropped just a tad. Got down to -3 last night but it has warmed up to a very balmy 5 as I type this. I think we stand a chance of getting up to 8 later in the day.
All is good, though. Fresh elk meat in the freezer and the wood stove is fired up and making the house very warm and cozy.

Mrs. Muggsy say that snow is just like sex. Ya never know how many inches you'll get or how long it will last. :o

Another day late - over 10" of snow fell at my place on Monday. Wet and heavy and I waited too long before I removed the first layer. Got the old John Deere 316 stuck - in the driveway. The gravel driveway is not froze down, and when you spin you dig in. Did a little unintentional landscaping with the snow blade, pushing snow back away from the driveway so there is room for more as the winter wears on. I'm sure I can get some grass seed next spring. Funny that I was mowing the day before - glad I got the deck off and the blade on Sunday, before the snow. Worst part is where they did not get the roads plowed before the roads cooled off, leaving a sheet of ice. Slid through a stop sign tonight which was embarrassing.

Right now I'd rather have the snow than the cold. Got down to -15 last night and it is currently -12 with the sun shining. A truly beautiful day looking out over the little bit of snow and frost encrusted trees...

Glad I now live in NM, grew up in MN, you can keep the snow. Only bad thing is I drive a big rig and still have to drive in it sometimes.

Was only -8F here this morning, at 5am, but I'm a bit lower than you....Parker, 6000 ft. Personally, in this dry a climate I much prefer the cold to more snow. Got maybe a couple of inches this time which is perfect to me. Great aesthetic value without the hassle of having to do anything about it/deal with much deeper.
